The Christian Foodbank welcomed first grade students, their teachers Angie Nashadka and Nicole Hartnett, plus additional staff from the St. Marys Catholic Elementary School this past Tuesday.

Foods donated by the children and their families, were weighed for later distributions. A financial contribution was also included.

The foodbank’s mission and process was explained, followed with a tour of the facility that feeds so many people in need.

The foodbank is so grateful for such compassionate generosity and leadership, while passing it onto our youth.

This is one example of what makes our community so special.

Thank you so very much to our Christian Food Bank recipients for helping to alleviate the traffic congestion during our weekly distribution hours! The new firehall construction will be such a benefit to our community upon competition. Avoiding disruption of their work and any possible dangers to all, indicates great respect.

Christian Food Bank Community Thank You

The Christian Food Bank wishes to extend sincerest thanks to the many good people who support the struggling individuals and families of our area, especially during these difficult times.
Fortunately, our area had a good growing season in July and August, and many community members donated fresh, healthy produce, some even grown specifically for the foodbank.
Without citing names to eliminate missing anyone, the foodbank could never exist without the hard work and generosity of so many talented, caring people, businesses, churches, schools, and clubs. Hearing expressions of gratitude made by so many of our friends and neighbors in need is what makes the efforts put forth each week so worthwhile.
Last month, 216 distinct households were served, consisting of 480 individuals, 138 of whom are children.
The foodbank distributes every week. This past Thursday, 183 boxes were distributed. Many of these are eligible families with working parents, struggling to make ends meet. With your help, these families are staying afloat and not going hungry.
We truly live in a faith-filled, generous and hard-working community!
Below are just a few messages of thanks from some recipients that might better express their need and gratitude.
We are so lucky and thankful for the Christian Foodbank. We depend on it. We are elderly and living on a fixed income. It is a comfort to know on Thursday we will get food. Thank you to all the people at the food bank. We are grateful and appreciate the food and the people that donate their time and resources to help us.
