Rainforest Falls VBS Brings Faith, Fun, and Adventure to 60 Children
St. Marys Interparish Faith Formation recently hosted its annual Vacation Bible School, Rainforest Falls: Exploring God in Nature, at St. Mary's Catholic Elementary School (SMCES). The four-day program was held Monday, July 6, through Thursday, July 9, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
A total of 60 children in kindergarten through fifth grade participated in this year's rainforest adventure. They were assisted by 21 dedicated Crew Members in grades 6–12 and 20 enthusiastic adult volunteers, who helped make the week a memorable experience for everyone.
Throughout the week, children explored God's amazing creation through Bible stories, hands-on science and nature activities, music, games, crafts, snacks, and opportunities to recognize "God Sightings®"—special moments where they could see God's presence in the world around them. Each day was filled with laughter, learning, friendship, and faith as the children discovered how God's love can be seen throughout nature.
St. Marys Interparish Faith Formation extends its sincere gratitude to the many generous donors whose support made this year's Vacation Bible School possible. Thanks to the kindness of our parish communities, the Elk County Community Foundation, and the Catholic Foundation of Northwestern Pennsylvania, every child was able to attend the camp free of charge.
The generosity of these organizations and individuals allowed families to enjoy an enriching, faith-filled summer experience without financial barriers. St. Marys Interparish Faith Formation is deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time, talents, prayers, and financial support to make Rainforest Falls a tremendous success.
The Faith Formation Office also extends a heartfelt thank-you to the teen Crew Members, adult volunteers, and all who helped prepare, decorate, teach, and clean up throughout the week. Their dedication and joyful spirit made a lasting impact on the children and helped create a wonderful week of growing in faith while exploring God's beautiful creation.
