Daytona Beach German Shepherd Rescue is a registered 501c3 established in October 2013. We are a foster home-based organization operating out of Daytona Beach. Our goal is to rescue as many homeless German Shepherds as we can by rehabilitating them and placing them in approved adoptive forever homes.

🐾 Everyone loves a puppy—the adorable face, playful antics, and endless energy. But puppies don’t come with manners, boundaries, or an understanding of what is and isn’t acceptable behavior.

Just like children, puppies learn from the people and dogs around them. They jump, nip, chew, steal toys, invade personal space, and test limits because they simply don’t know any better. That’s why it’s so important that puppies are placed in homes with committed adopters who are willing to provide guidance, structure, training, and consistency.

Equally important are any resident dogs in the home. A well-balanced adult dog can help teach a puppy appropriate canine manners, respect for boundaries, and proper social behavior. Not every dog enjoys living with a puppy, and not every home is the right fit for a young, impressionable dog.

When a neglected dog comes into rescue, the work is just beginning. Our team spends countless hours coordinating transport, arranging veterinary care, providing food and supplies, finding a foster home, and giving the dog the love, patience, and stability they have been missing.

Yesterday, Max was that dog.
He is in need of medical care, including vaccinations, deworming, diagnostics, heartworm test, and ongoing rehabilitation. The costs add up quickly, but turning our backs is never an option.
Every neglected dog deserves a second chance, and every successful rescue is made possible by the generosity of our supporters.

Sometimes, when you need a miracle, one appears and for us, it was our new foster mom Mckenzy! 😃❤️
Yesterday, she stepped up and opened her heart and home to a neglected pup in need, when he sat in a hot outside kennel and had nowhere to go.

Fosters are the backbone of rescue, and without people willing to step forward, we simply couldn’t save lives.

From all of us at Daytona Beach German Shepherd Rescue, thank you for taking a chance on a dog who needed someone. You may think you’re just fostering, but to Max, you are everything right now.
