Get ready to roll into Gurnee’s America 250 Celebration at the Star-Spangled Stroll & Roll Youth Parade on Thursday, July 2, 2026!

Bring your kids and their favorite nonmotorized wheels (bikes, scooters, wagons, or wheelchairs) to the decorating party at Gurnee Fire Station 1 from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. to deck them out in free patriotic streamers and mini flags while supplies last.

The colorful 1/4-mile parade kicks off at 4:00 p.m., heading down Old Grand Avenue (which will be closed to traffic) and wrapping up at Viking Park, where a free, secure bike storage area will be available until 10:30 PM.

Don't forget helmets for the riders and remember that parents must stay with their children throughout this community event.
