What a fantastic way to say goodbye to the last class of Round Lake Schuler scholars. Thank you and for hosting this book binding workshop so scholars could go to college with a hand bound journal. It’s been a long difficult four years and you all weathered it with humor and grace. Though it ends your community is always here for you -April

Hope everyone is having a happy Holiday Break! Before students left for break we had our own little Holiday party! Students hung out, decorated cookies, and worked on a puzzle! It was awesome to see the room full of so many scholars and friends.

Last night our last class of scholars saw Hamilton 🌟! They had fun after the play connecting it to things they are talking about in AP Government and things that they learned last year in APUSH.

Scholar last weekend were able to experience the long standing Schuler tradition that was seeing Louder Than A Bomb (now know as Rooted and Radical!). They loved getting to hear from other high schoolers just let them. A favorite poem of the evening was about how love was like a tortilla 🌯💖. Shout out to for putting on this amazing event!

Scholars got to enjoy listening to the play the sound track to the classic film The 👸Princess Bride on Sunday! It was a fantastic way to round out the long weekend and reset before finals.

During parent teacher conferences today a few scholars decided to take the train into the city and visit the Art Institute if Chicago! We saw everything from ancient mosaics to modern sculpture 🖼

Round Lake scholars took the train into the city yesterday🌇! We bought some journals 📓and then headed to millennium park to do some journaling! What a gorgeous day to do some reflecting.
