You Can Provide an Emergency Kit for a Family in Nepal

What Happened?

A massive rock-ice avalanche fell near the Nepal-China border, generating a 5.2 magnitude earthquake and triggering unimaginable flooding. The water rose about 30 feet within 30 minutes, washing away entire villages, giving people no time to evacuate.

50,000+ people are displaced.
600 are confirmed dead.
2,500+ people are still missing.

How You Can Help

Our local team is serving tirelessly to bring Emergency Kits (food, clean water, and hygiene supplies) to families in crisis.

It costs just $68 to provide an emergency kit for a family surviving in the aftermath.

Thanks to your generosity, our courageous local coworkers are able to bring safety, love, and support to women and girls in the MENA region as they face the daily realities of ongoing war, displacement, and uncertainty.

Our local team does everything they can to comfort them, bring them moments of joy, and show them the love of Christ amidst immense hardship.

For instance, your support helped our coworkers create a special women’s day where mothers from displaced families could step away from survival mode and enjoy a joyful time prepared just for them.

“We felt like we were alive again," says Amina*, a She Is Safe participant.

Because of you, women and girls in the MENA region are being reminded that they are seen, loved, and not alone—even in unimaginable hardship.

The reality of life for women and girls in Uganda

Did You Know?

In Uganda, traffickers often prey on people who are already facing hardship—children, refugees, asylum-seekers, and families in rural communities with limited resources.

For many survivors, safe shelter, long-term support, and specialized care remain difficult to access, making early intervention and prevention especially important.

After living in poverty and working without pay or food, Namazzi* was desperate.

When a man came to her village in Uganda and promised her a better job at a restaurant in a nearby city, she was hopeful. This was her opportunity for a better life!

Tragically, the job was a ploy.

She quickly found herself trapped in domestic slavery, a common form of human trafficking that often leads to sexual abuse and exploitation as well.

By God's grace, our local coworkers spotted her at a bus stop and
intervened before she disappeared.

After receiving care, support, and trafficking awareness training, Namazzi was safely reunited with her family!

Thank you for helping rescue Namazzi and other vulnerable girls like her!

3 Ways You Can Pray for South Sudan

What makes a girl vulnerable to human trafficking?

Extreme Instability-
Displacement or disruption by natural disasters, violence, or political upheaval puts girls at even greater risk of abuse and trafficking.

Cultural Norms-
Girls and women are often discriminated against, undervalued and viewed as property within their
culture.

Economic Shock-
Job loss, illness, disability, or sudden debt — significantly increases vulnerability to exploitation and trafficking.

No Parental Support-
Being orphaned and left to live on the street makes girls highly vulnerable to trafficking.

Become a RescueOne Partner today and equip a vulnerable girl to be safe and free!
