Today, we’re celebrating our amazing JumpStart Program Manager, Ossie’s, birthday! 🎈

Ossie brings so much energy, personality, and fun to the Georgia Transplant Foundation team. Whether she’s making us laugh or brightening up the room, she has a way of making every workday a little more lively! ✨

We’re so grateful to have her on our team and hope her birthday is filled with as much joy and laughter as she brings to those around her. 💙

Help us wish Ossie a very happy birthday in the comments! 🎉🎁

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Due to anticipated severe weather in the Atlanta area and the Governor’s state of emergency, tomorrow’s (Saturday, October 10, 2026) Trends in Transplant (TNT) Conference has been postponed out of an abundance of caution. The safety of our attendees, speakers, volunteers, and staff is our highest priority. We hope to reschedule and will share updates as soon as they are available. A promise worth celebrating. ✨

Last night, we gathered at the incredible Lou Sobh Honda’s Car Museum for the launch of The Promise Society — a new community of dedicated supporters committed to strengthening the future of Georgia’s transplant community. 💙

It was a beautiful evening filled with connection, generosity, and hope for what’s ahead.

We’re so excited to officially introduce The Promise Society and grateful to everyone who helped make this special night possible.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) — a time to recognize the value and talent of people with disabilities and highlight the importance of inclusive employment opportunities.

For transplant recipients, returning to work or starting a new career can come with unique challenges. GTF’s JumpStart Program provides career-focused support to help transplant recipients navigate the path back to employment and take the next step toward their goals.

A transplant can change your path, but it doesn't have to define your future. 💙

Some connections are worth celebrating. 💙

At our recent Savannah TNT conference, one of our transplant patients had the opportunity to meet their GTF Mentor in person for the very first time. 🫶

What started as a connection through GTF’s Mentor Project became a special moment of encouragement, understanding, and shared experience.

The transplant journey can feel overwhelming, but no one should have to navigate it alone. Through the Mentor Project, GTF connects transplant patients and caregivers with someone who has walked a similar path and can offer support, understanding, and a listening ear along the way.

We absolutely loved witnessing this moment! 💙
