Paul's words in Philippians 4:13 carry even greater weight when we remember where he was when he wrote them.

He wasn't living comfortably. He wasn't enjoying success or ease. He was in prison.

Yet, instead of complaining about his circumstances Paul chose to trust in Christ's strength.

How often do we allow difficult situations to steal our joy, our peace or our confidence in God?

When trials come, we have a choice.

We can focus on the problem and grumble about what we're facing.

Or we can focus on Jesus and declare:
"I can do all things through chris who strengthens me."

This verse is not about having unlimited ability, it's about having God's strength to endure, overcome, and remain faithful, regardless of our circumstances.

Whatever you're facing today, remember that the same Christ who strengthened Paul in prison is with you right now.

Don't let your circumstances determine your faith. Let your faith determine your response!

As Pastor Kevin joins Pastor Karl and his team on this trip to Peru let's keep them all in prayer!
Let's ask the Lord to prepare the ground (the region) they will be occupying!
That the heart's of the Peruvian people be prepared to receive all the God has for them.
And for each missionary going, that day would be bold and brave, be ready to make heaven crowded!

Nobody enjoys the fire.
The stretching.
The pruning.
The uncomfortable seasons where God begins removing what cannot go where He is taking us.

But refinement requires heat.

Gold is purified in the fire, and many times God uses this difficult seasons to reveal what needs to be surrendered, healed or removed from our lives.

Sometimes the fire burns away fear.
Sometimes pride.
Sometimes compromise, distraction, bitterness or old habits that no longer benefit us.

The fire is not always punishment.
Often it is preparation.

God is producing something cleaner, stronger, holier and more dependent upon Him.

Trust the Refiner.

He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver... Malachi 3:3

When you walked it fire, you shall not be burned...
Isaiah 43:2

Ministry leader, do you behave the same way outside the walls of the church as you do inside?

Jesus warned against being like "whitewashed tombs", beautiful on the outside but inwardly full of death, hypocrisy and wickedness. Matthew 23:27-28

God is not only concerned with our public behavior, but also with the condition of our heart.
True righteousness is not performance for people, but it is surrender before God.

I'm not saying we never have a bad day.
But I pray that our character may match our calling both in private and in public.

Let our lives reflect integrity, humility, holiness, love, compassion and forgiveness wherever we go.
