A translation of the letter of thanks we received from SESU:

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) would like to express its sincere gratitude to the charitable organization «Foundation Ukraine» for the vital support that you provide to our country at this troubled time and has the honor to inform you of the following:
Relying on the support from our foreign partners, Ukrainian firefighters and rescuers are protecting civilians from the emerging threats 24/7. Only in such difficult times are we able to recognize true friends, who generously provide us special equipment and technical support, personal and collective protection equipment, medical supplies and materials, and other critical supplies for our work.
We deeply appreciate the help you provide to our firefighters and rescuers. We are grateful for the generous and heartfelt donation in the form of $ 65,000, which we received to the SESU charitable account to support the rescuers and their families affected by the war, as well as $ 65,000 to the SESU general assistance account in UkrEximBank.
The assistance received from you will undoubtedly improve the social and financial situation of the affected families of rescuers, and will help to improve the response to emergencies.
Together, we are able to implement solutions that will not only stop the Russian aggression, but will also support Ukraine in this war.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine avails itself this opportunity to renew assurances to the charitable organization «Foundation Ukraine» of its highest considerations and looks forward to continuing our fruitful cooperation.

Foundation Ukraine would like to thank all of its donors for their generous support of the rescue workers at the State Emergency Services of Ukraine. To date $130,000 of your generous donations have been donated to various causes around Ukraine.

Foundation Ukraine has sent $65,000 directly to the SESU to purchase much needed equipment and supplies to continue their heroic response to Russia’s unprovoked war on Ukraine. The funds will be spent on the most essential needs of the first responders who are tasked with fighting fires, search and rescue, de-mining and providing aid to the victims of the war.

Another $65,000 was delivered to the families of first responders who were killed or injured in the line of duty. The funds will help the families in their time of need as well as support the education of the children who have lost a parent.

In early March, another $24,000 that had been donated to the organization was used to provide medicines and equipment to the Territorial Defense of Ukraine and to medics providing evacuation of the injured soldiers and civilians.

Foundation Ukraine is grateful to all those who donated their time to help in the fundraising efforts in support of the people of Ukraine. Thank you to the donors whose generosity is helping to save Ukrainian lives.

Foundation Ukraine is very grateful for the tremendous outpouring of community support at our HomeGrown Brewing Co. event last month which benefitted the State Emergency Services of Ukraine! In one night, we raised well over $10,000 from sales of the famous Slava beer, ethnic Ukrainian food, merchandise, and donations.

The Oxford, Michigan microbrewery has borrowed the beer recipe from Pravda Brewery in Ukraine to help raise funds to help Ukrainian people.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation attacked and began a full-scale war on Ukraine. Russia first invaded and occupied Ukraine’s eastern territories and its Crimean Peninsula eight years ago. It is an unjust, unprovoked, and inhumane war, an unprecedented, incomprehensible event at the dawn of the 21st century in Europe. Russia is deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, ambulances, theaters and residential buildings. Provoking a humanitarian crisis, causing fear and forcing Ukrainians to flee their homes is part of the Russian Federation's hybrid war in an effort to force Ukraine to surrender and depopulate the country. Now is not the time to stay neutral.

You can support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people by donating to supply the first responders and emergency workers with the training and equipment necessary for their work in saving the lives of those affected by the missile attacks and airstrikes in Ukraine’s cities and towns.

Foundation Ukraine coordinating center, an initiative by Foundation Ukraine, is working with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to increase the capacity of fire departments, search and rescue teams and emergency medical workers including analysis of real-time needs to expedite the procurement of the inventory required to execute these emergency services, medical aid and humanitarian assistance.
