UPDATES TO PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND SUBSEQUENT PUBLIC HEARING



FY2027 Annual Plan and the Moving To Work (MTW) Supplement
to the Annual Plan



Rockville Housing Enterprises (RHE) provides a forty-five (45) day notice to residents, participants, and the public for RHE’s proposed FY2027 Annual Plan and the MTW Supplement to the Annual Plan.



The public comment period has been extended, and the public hearing has been changed. The original public comment period was from April 10, 2026, to May 27, 2026. The new public comment period runs from April 10, 2026, until June 24, 2026.



The Public Hearing has also been rescheduled from Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 6 pm to Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 6 pm to accommodate the extended public comment period. The meeting’s Microsoft Teams ID is as follows:

The FY27 Annual Plan and MTW Supplement to the Annual Plan can be viewed at the RHE office exterior lobby located at 1300 Piccard Dr., Suite 202, Rockville, MD 20850, and 735 Monroe St, Rockville, MD 20850, during the hours of 9:30 am and 4:00 pm, and on the RHE Website www.rockvillehe.org starting April 10, 2026, until June 24, 2026.

Huge congratulations go out to Timothie! Timothie will be graduating from Thomas Edison High School on June 11, 2026. He also holds a certificate from Thomas Edison for Automotive Body Mechanics. He got his first job! We are very proud of all he has achieved this year!! Timothe has the goal of owning his own mechanic shop one day! Please congratulate him when you see him in the community!

We were proud to celebrate the ribbon-cutting ceremony at David Scull Courts, marking the completion of major exterior renovations at this Rockville Housing Enterprises community.

These improvements reflect our continued commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and investing in communities they are proud to call home. The renovations included:

Repaving and restriping all parking lots.
Replacement of the community center roof.
Removing and replacing all siding with upgraded insulation and new siding.
Replacing all gutters and downspouts.
Installing new lighting throughout the community and above all, the front and back of unit doors.
Adding additional security cameras to improve safety.
Replacing outdated playgrounds with new playground equipment.
Transforming one former playground area into a new community garden space.

At Rockville Housing Enterprises, we believe that creating a safe, attractive, and well-maintained communities helps instill a sense of pride among our residents while fostering stronger neighborhoods for everyone.

Rockville Housing Enterprises (RHE) cordially invites you to our Open House for the David Scull Community! With the help of our friends at the Montgomery County Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA), we have made extensive upgrades to the property for our public housing residents, including new siding, repaving the driveways and parking lots, roof repairs, new HVAC systems, new playground equipment, Community Center improvements, improved lighting and security, and improved safety and accessibility for our Senior building.

It's like a whole new property, and we would love for you to come celebrate with us on May 15th from 11 am- 1pm.
