It's ! 🎭 Rockville Musical Theatre is grateful to be creating theatre alongside YOU, our community of artists, volunteers, visionaries, and patrons! Thank you for supporting local community theatre and for helping RMT share stories that matter on stage. 🌟

We look proudly at our last year of 3 phenomenal musicals (Urinetown, A Year with Frog and Toad, and Be More Chill) and look forward to our current season (Sister Act, and Caroline, or Change) with great anticipation!

Rockville Musical Theatre received 7 awards at the 24th Annual Washington Area Theatre Community Honors after receiving 18 nominations for our productions of A Year with Frog and Toad and Urinetown! Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners and to everyone who contributed to RMT's incredible 2025 season, and thanks to the WATCH board and judges for the recognition. We create incredible theatre with the help of our community: volunteers, creatives, donors, patrons, and more - thank you! 💜

In addition to receiving awards, the casts of A Year with Frog and Toad and Urinetown took to the stage at the Award Ceremony to perform as nominees in the Outstanding Musical category. RMT is so proud of the casts, crews, and creative teams of both productions!

📢 Direct with Rockville Musical Theatre! 💫 RMT is seeking directors with creative vision and proven leadership experience for our Summer 2027 production at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre!

RMT's Board of Directors has made a commitment to diversifying our company in every aspect, from production staff, to casting, to performance material. In light of this commitment, we are interested in reviewing proposals for Summer 2027 that fall into one of two categories: shows with timely and relevant themes or classic shows revisited from a new perspective (for example with an eye toward color-conscious casting, new themes, or gender commentary). Potential directors should address matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion in their submitted proposals.

HALLELUJAH! 🙌 Auditions for RMT's summer production of Sister Act are coming up next month on Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14 from 7-10pm at North Bethesda United Methodist Church (10100 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, MD 20814). RMT is casting performers ages 15+ for this production.

RMT is accepting sign-ups NOW, and will also accept walk-in auditions and virtual auditions. Virtual auditions must be submitted by 8pm on Monday, April 13. Invited callbacks will be held on Saturday, April 18. Visit r-m-t.org/audition for the full audition information, character descriptions, forms, and sign-ups!

The casts of RMT’s Urinetown and A Year with Frog and Toad reunited last night to prepare for the 2025 Washington Area Theatre Community Honors (WATCH) Award Ceremony on March 22! Both groups had a blast reconnecting and rehearsing the numbers they will present during the ceremony.
