✨ Nahant Marsh Education Center ✨

The Nahant Marsh preserve is a 382-acre preserve nestled in southwest Davenport and is one of the largest urban wetlands on the Upper Mississippi River. It is comprised of marshy areas, mesic, wet and sand prairie, and bottomland forest. A spring-fed quarry, known as Carp Lake, and the surrounding grounds, are part of the Nahant Marsh preserve as well.

Nahant Marsh continues to grow its impact by offering diverse and immersive programs that connect people of all ages to the natural world. They provide engaging on-site experiences including field trips, camps, and workshops. Through outreach programs, they extend their mission beyond the Marsh, bringing interactive nature programs to libraries, after-school programs, community organizations, and senior living communities.

Mission: "To protect, enhance, and restore the Marsh through education, research, and conservation."

✨MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH✨

Mental health is deeply personal, and what works for one person may not work for another — and that’s okay. Finding your path can involve trial and error, pauses, and changes along the way as life shifts. The path may look different for everyone, but we all deserve more good days, together.
