Good morning friends. So this year we are going back to the basics. We are still very much are excited for next Saturday the 17th but we are going back to just going to the cemetery and helping distribute wreaths that the arsenal is already providing. Everyone is welcome to join as this is still a very important day and anyone who has been knows it's a great experience. I am going to reach out to the arsenal to find out details of getting on the island this year. I believe they have went back to the original format of just showing ID to the guards but I will check on that and post on here that info. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I'll try to get back quickly as possible. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪💪

So just to clear things up! We are going to still meet at 3rd st bar and grill about 9ish for biscuits and gravy and coffee for anyone who wants to participate in the ceremony and distributing wreaths! The arsenal themselves purchase a large amount of wreaths to be distributed throughout by volunteers! That’s how our group got started! Anyone who interested please respond to this so Tina knows about how many people to expect!

Friends I have some unfortunate news to report. In our transition of group leadership we have been ignored by Wreaths Across America, we have always been a last minute group with an amazing network of family, friends and business owners that always seems to get it done. If you have friends that want to donate they can but through the Wreaths Across America site directly. It doesn’t appear that we will have any wreaths specifically set aside for our group. Some of us will still be going over for the service to Respect and Honor. The Teach part of the slogan failed us this year. If you have any questions you can message me. Maybe we can get some help and get back to supporting this great event.

Hello everyone, please keep in mind if you plan to help us place wreaths on December 19th you will need to fill out a visitors application at the Moline entrance, it’s the building on the right, before you get to the guard shack, if you would like the form to complete contact Brian Atkins with your email and I can send it to you. I thinks it’s better than waiting until the day of. Thank you for all of your support.
