A sampling of the blankets that we dropped off to Rochester Refugee Resettlement Services this week. They are being distributed to families who have recently settled in Rochester.

Hey Crafty Friends! Our first get together went so well, we’ve put 2 more on our April calendar:

Wednesday, April 29th 6-9pm

We will continue to meet at:

Bring whatever you’d like to work on. There is no fee for these events, and you don’t need to register ahead of time. You may bring your own soft drinks or they are available to purchase. Snacks are welcome too.

Thank you, everyone, who made this possible.

When HOM guests find permanent housing, we help to set them up with all they need for success. Thanks to Kimberly Rouleau and ROC Made with Love (and her partners at the Greece Community Library), we will be able to gift guests with a lovely quilt or blanket. A HUGE thanks to all who made this lovely gesture possible!

Sounds like fun!

SherylwithanS here. We’ve been talking for a while about finding space to gather, and the Churchville Moose Lodge has very graciously agreed to let us use their banquet space! It’s well lit, has clean tables and there are bathrooms right there as well. Soft drinks are available in their bar area very reasonably, or we’re welcome to bring our own. Snacks are fine, too.

I hope you’ll join us for our first get together in this new (to us) space!

We dropped off 2 grocery bags filled soap sacks with soap to Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf & Clothing Closet. The soap sacks were assembled by middle school students at The Aquinas Institute of Rochester during their retreat day.

Today, 8th graders from The Aquinas Institute of Rochester put together 218 soap sacks during the service portion of their retreat. The students then put over 100 soap sacks in the donation bins for SJNC - St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center in the church sanctuary. The rest of the soap sacks will be dropped off at food pantries this coming week.

Thank you local makers and people who have donated soap.
