Today, we kicked off Hunger Action Month with our longtime partner, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, at Lake Tower -- Rochester Housing Authority , one of Foodlink's Curbside Market stops.

Together, we're helping bring fresh, affordable food directly into neighborhoods across Rochester while connecting shoppers with nutrition education and healthy resources. We're grateful for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield's continued investment in the Curbside Market and their shared commitment to building a healthier community.

Yesterday, we were honored to gather with Mary Ellen Burris, Wegmans leadership, community partners, board members, supporters, and friends to officially dedicate and name our Culinary Center in her honor.

The Mary Ellen Burris Culinary Center will serve as a lasting tribute to a leader and supporter whose impact on Foodlink spans nearly 50 years. Through her work at Wegmans as the "voice of the customer," Mary Ellen helped build one of the most significant partnerships in our history and played a foundational role in shaping Foodlink into the organization we are today.

This space, home to our production kitchens, Foodlink Career Fellowship program, and catering initiatives, reflects the values she has championed throughout her career: nourishing communities, investing in people, and creating opportunities through food.

We are proud that Mary Ellen's legacy will live on in a space dedicated to preparing scratch-made meals, developing careers, and transforming lives for generations to come.
