🌱 Happy National Farmers Day! 🧑‍🌾

Today, we’re giving a special shoutout to John, or as many of us know him, Farmer John!

Our Foodlink Community Farm team may be small but mighty, and John is out there day after day helping keep things growing. From tending to plants and harvesting fresh produce to lending a hand with field trips and campers, his work helps make the farm a place where food, learning and community can all grow together.

Join us in showing Farmer John, and our entire farm team, some love this ! 💚🌱

A week later, we’re still feeling grateful. ❤️🍂

Our 5th annual Fall Festival brought the community together at the Foodlink Community Farm to celebrate connection, learning and the work happening right here in our community.

Thank you to our staff, partners and everyone who spent the day with us. We’re grateful to have celebrated this milestone with you!

The countdown to Check Out Hunger is on! 🛒 🍎

Yesterday, we hosted dozens of Wegmans leaders and store champions for a tour and kickoff event for this annual campaign, which serves as a critical fundraiser to support our work. It was great to meet so many enthusiastic employees participating in their first campaign, and several returning folks who were instrumental in Check Out Hunger's success last year with more than $800K raised!

Honored to stand with University of Rochester Medicine on Children’s Environmental Health Day -- a national day of awareness that aims to create a healthier, safer, more equitable world for all children, and where fewer children suffer from preventable health issues.

We can't think of a better spot to celebrate the day than over at the Foodlink Community Farm!

This past weekend, Foodlink proudly dedicated the Rosa Wims Edible Education Center at the Foodlink Community Farm, honoring a beloved Rochester leader who devoted her life to serving others.

Rosa’s connection to Foodlink ran deep as a former staff member, board member, advocate, mentor -- and, of course, host of Rochester's most legendary Thanksgiving Dinner. Her belief in the connection between food, health, education and community continues to live on through the work happening at the Foodlink Community Farm every day.

Rosa’s remarkable legacy will continue to inspire future generations for years to come. Read more about the ceremony by visiting: https://foodlinkny.org/rosa-wims-edible-education/
