CBTU Rochester Chapter Coalition of Black Trade Unionists was formed to enhance the lives of people of color within the trade movement and community.

The Rochester Chapter of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionist are individuals who are interested in learning more about our unions, leadership roles, volunteering, unity and improving the lives of our fellow union brothers and sisters in the communities in which we live.

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Ms. Betty L. Lea and Ms. Debra Susan Brooken.

Ms. Lea is the Mother and Grandmother of cherished CBTU Rochester Chapter members Zola Brown and Destini Bowman. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Aenon Missionary Baptist Church, 175 Genesee St. Rochester, NY 14611. The wake starts at 10am followed by the funeral at 12pm. Ms. Brooken is the mother of our Chapter's extraordinary Executive Vice President Kendall Bell.
