Women's Foundation of Genesee Valley

10/05/2026

Congratulations to everyone involved in planning and bringing the Frederick Douglass HBCU Football Classic to the City of Rochester!

The Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley had an absolute blast, and this is an event we look forward to attending every year. We are incredibly grateful for the love, commitment, and investment Erin Tolefree, Cara Hughes, and the entire Baldwin Richardson Foods Family continues to pour into our community.

Throughout the festivities, students were connected with colleges, scholarships were awarded, opportunities were created, and most importantly, lives were changed. We are also proud of one of our Board Members, Taelor Jackson, President of Panther Graphics, Inc. and Brittany Read, for hosting the The Yard Social Club. This was a wonderful opportunity for students to experience the rich culture, energy, and joy of life at an HBCU.

This is what community looks like. This is what happens when we invest in our young people and create pathways for their futures.

Well done to everyone who made this incredible experience possible! 👏🏾🎓🏈✨

OUR LEGACY GALA EMCEE: GINNY RYAN!

We are so excited to welcome Ginny Ryan as the emcee of the Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley’s Legacy Gala!

This one is especially meaningful to us.

Ginny has played an important role in the story and legacy of WFGV, including serving as a past member of our Board of Directors. She knows this organization. She has poured into this organization. And she has been part of the community of women who helped shape the Foundation into what it is today.

Today, Ginny continues her commitment to our community as Director of Community Engagement at Canandaigua National Bank, where she oversees the bank’s communications, events, and philanthropy.

So, who better to help us celebrate legacy than someone who is part of ours?

Ginny, we are thrilled to have you with us as we celebrate the women, partners, and community leaders who continue to move this work forward.

We’ll see you at the Legacy Gala!
