Another Successful Veterans Day! 🇺🇸

Another wonderful Veterans Day at the Rochester Event Center! A big thank-you to Joe Powers and his crew for doing an outstanding job hosting the event.

We’re also grateful to everyone who participated in the program and helped make it meaningful and memorable.

Once again, we were reminded that freedom is not free — thank you to all the brave servicemen and women who have sacrificed to keep the United States free.

Remembering 9/11: Honoring Our Heroes

Honoring Patriotism at Soldier Field Memorial

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of a concrete pad at the Memorial. A beautiful bench will be installed to honor Wayne and Carol Stillman, two individuals whose legacy of dedication and service will forever be remembered.
This project would not have been possible without the generous contributions from Allen Concrete and Lietzen Concrete, who donated all the materials for this heartfelt tribute. Your support and patriotism have made this memorial even more special.

Rochester native and US Army Veteran Wayne Stillman has dedicated years of service to veterans and veteran issues. Among his many achievements, Wayne was the guiding force behind the creation of the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial. In 1995, Wayne had a vision for a veterans memorial. That vision grew into what we know as Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial. Wayne has spent untold hours working on this project. A special event to honor Wayne and his wife for their tireless work on the memorial and other veteran issues is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, at the Soldiers Field Memorial, 300 7th St SW, Rochester, MN 55902, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

At the age of 93, Gene passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, For countless Veterans' Day programs, Soldiers Field Memorial could always count on him to deliver a soul-stirring rendition of taps, a musical tribute that spoke volumes of his commitment to honoring our heroes.
