BFRG Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization and its mission is to empower families by providing services and resources to help improve the lives of children and families within the Inland Empire. We believe every child deserves to be loved, connected, and empowered through family with the help of communities coming together to make a difference in each other lives. We collaborate with individuals
, companies, and community partners to bring services and resources to help families thrive. We help facilitate parent involvement through our weekly activities as a means of helping their children develop and learn. Our staff is made up of parents who have first-hand experience with aspects of families’ struggles and are trained in listening, communicating, and problem-solving. BFRG serves individuals and families through inspiration, education, and support to help strengthen their communities. BFRG's vision is to:
• Connect families of children with resources to help improve their children learning abilities.
• Improve and facilitate parent involvement as a means of improving their children’s outcomes in life.
• Support and collaborate with new and existing organizations to provide families with as many resources as needed.
• Help and support parents to know their rights, effectively communicate their child’s needs and advise them when dealing with their child’s education and health services.
• Encourage and support parents in leadership roles. BFRG Clients will be assisted in the following services listed below. The various workshops will be given on the following topics to not only encourage BFRG clients to pursue these goals but also to complete the necessary steps to accomplish these goals:
1. Independent Living Program - Individuals need a safe & confidential place to feel comfortable about expressing themselves about the obstacles they are facing. Sometimes the only roadblock a person may have is having someone believe in them as much as they believe in themselves. BFRG is designed to help clients see the potential that each individual has and help them utilize that as a tool to help them succeed in life. BFRG staff is trained to build positive connections with their clients.
2. Back to School Program - Education is fundamental to development and growth. Through education, a person can learn the necessary skills to improve their current situation. BFRG would like to provide each participant with the complete back-to-school list of supplies required each year. This helps students with one of the most expensive milestones they are faced with each year.
3. Cherished Moments - Volunteering allows participants to gain work experience while making a difference within their community. BFRG would like participants to volunteer 40 hours (10 hours with the elderly, 10 hours with the homeless, & 20 hours of their choice) per year to gain not only experience but also references.
4. Graduation & Overachievers Annual Banquet - BFRG believes that in order to succeed you must create short-term goals that are geared towards your long-term goals. An annual banquet will recognize the achievements of our participants and help keep them motivated.
5. Mentor Program - This program is geared to help participants hold themselves accountable for their actions and responsibilities.
6. Alternative Therapy - Some people have a hard time communicating and are unable to express themselves. Alternative therapy allows a participant to express their emotions and feelings through various forms of therapy. These individuals release their thoughts in hopes of healing throughout the process.
7. Entrepreneurship Program - Entrepreneurs tend to be more involved within the community they live or work in. Entrepreneurs take pride in what they do because they own it versus an employee working for someone else. The pride that they feel shows through their customer services which then is a domino effect on how others will want to pursue entrepreneurship. The services available within this program are to promote a philosophy of independent living, peer support, self-help, self-determination, and equal access to each individual. The purpose of this program is to provide core and other allowable services to maximize the success rate. The goal of this program is to maximize the leadership, empowerment, independence, and productivity of individuals. This program was designed with a broad range of elements to accommodate the diverse needs of the community. BRFG Foundation is unique because we implement the keys to success:
* A Vital Service Designed for the End-User
* Customer Care Advantage Program
* Controlled Overhead and Operational Costs
* Regular and On-Going Customer Feedback
* Sufficient Forms and Technology/Software Capacity
* Consultation Services – Ongoing
* Dedicated Management and Support Staff
BFRG Foundation has created four phases:
Phase I: Create a website, social media pages, and marketing campaign. Obtain and fully furnish a location to allow children to learn basic life skills. We also will be hosting monthly sessions on self-care, STEAM activities, arts & crafts, cooking lessons, tutoring, movie nights, alternative therapy, educational & business workshops, mentoring, etc. Phase II: Hire full-time direct and indirect staff. Phase III: Obtain and fully furnish a house to allow homeless people to be able to take a shower, do laundry, use computers for job search, school, etc., and eat during the day. Eventually, we would like to use it as a transitional house and enroll participants in a 2-year program to become self-sufficient. Phase IV: Secure funding to maintain both locations beyond a year. On behalf of the BFRG Foundation, I would like to thank you for taking time out to learn about our organization and appreciate any contributions that you are able to make. Your donations will help enable us to carry out our mission and make a difference in people's lives.
