Operation SafeHouse, with Community Support, provides short and long-term services 24 hours a day for

Emergency Shelter Programs - Riverside and Thousand Palms : 21-Day Program for youth ages 11-17
Services: shelter, food, clothing, crisis intervention, individual, group and family counseling, education, aftercare. Drug Program: For clients who have substance abuse issues. Transitional Living Program- 24-Month Program for youth 18-21 yrs
Services: housing, case management, education and employme

nt assistance, counseling. Safe Place Outreach Program that links local business, like RTA, with SafeHouse so youth can access services at multiple locations. Peer to Peer Outreach - This prevention service utilizes TAY who reflect the population they will be serving to provide formal and informal outreach, informal counseling, and support/informational groups to at-risk youth and their families. TAY Peer Service Providers are youth ages 16-25

Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative - Operation SafeHouse is a task force partner with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to serve and develop resources in the county to educate, prevent, intervene and treat victims of human trafficking and exploitation. Counseling Services - Short –Term Family Counseling, Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, Drug & Alcohol Counseling

Baby Shower for Cynthia! 👶💕

Our SafeHouse family is growing! ❤️

Our directors, Main Street staff, and Street Outreach team recently gathered to celebrate Cynthia, our Street Outreach Worker, and her first baby! 🎉👶

Cynthia is expecting her little one around Halloween, so we couldn't resist celebrating with a little spooky-season baby shower! 🎃🍼

We are so excited for Cynthia as she gets ready for this wonderful new chapter. We know she will bring the same compassion, dedication, and big heart she brings to the youth and young adults we serve every day to her new role as a mom.

Congratulations, Cynthia! We can't wait to meet your little pumpkin! 🎃❤️

💙 SafeHouse in the Community!

Our Mental Health team recently joined other community organizations at Beaumont High School to connect with youth and parents, raise awareness about mental health resources, and introduce our new Blues Program!

The Blues Program gives young people a place to talk about what they're experiencing, build healthy coping skills, and get support before challenges become a crisis. 💙

We love opportunities to meet youth and families right where they are and we're grateful to Beaumont High School for welcoming our team to campus!

🌟 Connecting Youth to Community Resources

Our Street Outreach team was out in the community at the Riverside County Department of Child Support Services Family Support Resource Fair, helping connect families and young people with resources and services available throughout Riverside County.

Ashley Saldana, our Safe Place & Community Outreach Coordinator, represented SafeHouse at this great community event, alongside dozens of organizations working to support children, youth, and families. From housing and employment resources to healthcare, family support, school supplies, and other community services, the event brought valuable resources together in one place.

For our Street Outreach team, being present at events like this is about more than handing out information. It's about building relationships, knowing what resources are available, and making sure young people experiencing homelessness can be connected to the right support when they need it.

We love seeing our community come together to make resources more accessible to the people who need them most. ❤️

💃 Dancing It Out! 🎶

Sometimes wellness looks a lot like turning up the music and dancing it out!

Our youth recently took some time to get moving, have fun, and enjoy a little friendly competition together. Activities like this give young people a chance to laugh, move, connect with one another, and simply be kids.

At SafeHouse, we know that supporting youth means caring for the whole person; mind, body, and well-being. A little movement and a lot of fun can go a long way toward lifting spirits and building connection. ❤️

And yes, we fully support the occasional living-room dance battle. 😂💃

💈 A Fresh Cut, A Fresh Start! 💈

A huge thank you to The Underdog Campaign – Community Cuts for bringing their mobile barbering service to SafeHouse! Anthony and Donny stopped by our Youth Emergency Shelter to give our youth free haircuts, and the difference went far beyond a fresh look.

For young people experiencing crisis or homelessness, having the chance to feel cared for, confident, and proud of themselves can make a big difference. A fresh haircut brought smiles, confidence, and a renewed sense of pride to our shelter—and reminded our youth that their community cares about them.

Thank you, Anthony and Donny, for sharing your time, talent, and kindness with our youth! ❤️

A Big Thank You to Arrowheart Foundation!

SafeHouse is incredibly grateful to the Arrowheart Foundation for their generous donation of 50 backpacks filled with school supplies and essential items for the youth we serve.

As students prepare for a new school year, having a backpack stocked with the supplies they need helps them start the year with confidence and focus. Thanks to Arrowheart Foundation's continued generosity, the young people in our programs will have one less thing to worry about as they head back to the classroom.

This is a partnership that means so much to us. Arrowheart Foundation has supported our youth with back-to-school backpacks year after year, and we are deeply thankful for their ongoing commitment to helping young people succeed.
Together, we are making a difference; one backpack, one student, and one brighter future at a time.

📚🎒 Back-to-School Outreach in Moreno Valley!

Our Safe Place Coordinator, Ashley Saldana, recently participated in the Innovation High School Summer of Support event in Moreno Valley, connecting with students and families as they prepare for the new school year.

Ashley shared information about SafeHouse's programs and services, helping youth learn about the resources available to them—including emergency shelter, housing programs, counseling, and Safe Place services. Events like these are a great opportunity to build connections, answer questions, and ensure young people know where they can turn if they ever need help.

🎒📚 Connecting with Our Community Before the School Year Begins! 💙

SafeHouse's Mental Health Team had a wonderful time participating in the Riverside Unified School District Back-to-School Event!

Our team connected with more than 250 youth and parents, sharing information about SafeHouse and the many programs and services we provide, including our school-based mental health programs. Events like these are a valuable opportunity to raise awareness, answer questions, and help families learn about the resources available to support youth.

As the new school year begins, we'll be attending Back-to-School Nights and community events throughout Riverside County. If you see the SafeHouse team at your school, stop by and say hello! We'd love to meet you and share how we're supporting youth and families in our community.

🌸 Wise Wildflowers 🌸

Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest smiles.

Our youth recently enjoyed a nature walk where they gathered flowers, explored the outdoors, and created these beautiful "Wise Wildflowers" bouquets using their own creativity and imagination.

Activities like these do more than make pretty art, they encourage mindfulness, self-expression, and a chance to slow down and appreciate the beauty around us. For many of the youth we serve, moments of peace, creativity, and connection are an important part of healing.

Every flower is unique... just like every young person who walks through our doors. 💜

Our team recently came together for a day of learning, collaboration, and professional development during our Mental Health Team Training.

The day included an HT 101 (Human Trafficking 101) refresher led by our Executive Director, Kendra Tankersley-Davis, along with additional training designed to strengthen our knowledge, enhance our skills, and ensure we continue providing the highest quality care to the youth and families we serve.

At SafeHouse, we believe that ongoing training is essential. Investing in our staff means investing in better outcomes for the young people who rely on our programs every day.
