🚒🔔❤️‍🩹 MEET ANA-BELLE — ANOTHER LITTLE FIREHOUSE RESCUE! ❤️

Yesterday, a really underweight and dehydrated little girl wandered out of a field behind Fire Station 18 in Jurupa Valley.

Thankfully, the firefighters spotted her, gently lured her to safety, began treating her with fluids, and called One Mutt at a Time Rescue.

And when the fire department calls, you KNOW we’re answering! 🚒 Even on our day off! 🐾

We immediately headed over to meet this sweet girl, and just like that, another little life found herself surrounded by people who cared.

We’ve temporarily named her Ana-BELLE! 🔔❤️ A little tribute to the firehouse heroes who saved her.

Belle is now safe at OMaT Foster HQ, resting and decompressing in our quarantine room while we assess her condition. She’s incredibly thin, and we don’t know how long she’s been struggling, but she’s doing well so far. ❤️‍🩹

🚨 BELLE IS A FOUND DOG!

📍 Found October 18, 2026, behind Fire Station 18, off Mission Blvd. in Jurupa Valley.

🐾 No microchip found.

We are completing her Petco Love Lost report and observing her Riverside County required 2-week stray hold while searching for her family.

If you recognize her, please contact OMaT at (951) 410-5596. Proof of ownership, including previous photos and identifying markings, is required.

🏡 FOSTER NEEDED!

Belle needs a loving, committed foster home to help her rest, recover, and regain her strength. OMaT provides all supplies, medical care, and 24/7 support!

Thank you for noticing her, earning her trust, providing immediate care, and making that phone call to make sure she was in safe hands.

You didn’t just rescue a stray dog. You gave a little girl who desperately needed help a chance to recover, feel safe, and hopefully find her way home.

This is what community rescue is all about. People stepping up and making a difference, one little life at a time. ❤️

Welcome to the OMaT family, sweet Ana-Belle! 🔔🐾

🐾 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: ALL REMAINING 2026 ADOPTION EVENTS ARE CANCELED

After an incredibly exhausting year, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel all remaining adoption events for 2026, including our Halloween and November events.

Throughout the year, we’ve attended events month after month, often with little to no volunteer assistance. Out of all our events, only a handful had additional help beyond our three officers: Kristen, Mitch, and Vanessa.

Just because we CAN do it doesn’t mean it’s sustainable.

And here’s something many people don’t realize: Less volunteer support means fewer animals get seen.

When I’m working a dog event alone, I can safely bring a maximum of TWO dogs. Meanwhile, so many other wonderful adoptable dogs are missing opportunities to meet potential families.

After a year of physically exhausting ourselves with very few adoptions resulting from these events, we have to recognize that this approach is no longer sustainable for our small rescue.

❤️ To every business and organization that welcomed us this year, THANK YOU! Your hospitality, generosity of donated supplies, and opportunities to connect with the community have meant so much to us and this decision is in no way a reflection of your support.

And to Nicole, Sam, Corey, Nick, Roksana, Tyler, and Janett — our incredible event volunteers throughout 2026— THANK YOU for being the extra hands we desperately needed whenever you could. We appreciate every single one of you!

🐾 Our rescue is NOT closing, and our animals are STILL available for adoption!

We’ll continue promoting them online and arranging individual meet-and-greets with approved applicants.

For now, we’re redirecting our energy toward caring for our animals, completing medical treatments, rebuilding our foster headquarters, and strengthening our rescue.

We’re not giving up. We’re making the changes necessary to keep going. ❤️‍🩹

🐾 PUPDATE ON BUDDY:

After reaching out to us with an urgent request for assistance, we immediately began coordinating a temporary foster, transportation arrangements, and resources to help Buddy reunite with his family.

Thanks to our incredible community, we secured a foster willing to step up on extremely short notice, and a generous supporter even donated $250 toward helping Buddy get home.

Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts to contact the owner throughout Saturday, we received no response until Sunday evening, when she informed us that she had decided to pursue a less expensive ground transportation option through another rescue.

While we are happy Buddy has another option to get home, we are disappointed by the lack of communication, especially considering the urgency that was placed on our team and the community members who stepped up to help.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who volunteered their time, offered assistance, or rearranged their schedules to accommodate this situation.

Please know that your kindness and willingness to help did not go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who answered our call for help.

We will always advocate for keeping pets with their families whenever possible, but timely communication is essential when coordinating emergency assistance and relying on the generosity of volunteers.

Thank you all for continuing to show up when animals and their families need you. ❤️🐾

🚨🚨 SOS! ONE DAY TO FIND BUDDY A FOSTER! 🚨🚨

🐾 TEMPORARY FOSTER NEEDED FOR 1 WEEK OR LESS!

Meet Buddy! ❤️🐶

Buddy isn’t homeless. He isn’t up for adoption. He has a mama who loves him and a family waiting for him!

But right now, we’re racing against the clock to keep him out of the shelter.

His mama recently reached out to One Mutt at a Time Rescue for help getting her two beloved dogs transported out of state. Without transportation, she was facing the heartbreaking possibility of surrendering them.

Thankfully, she was able to make arrangements for one of her dogs to fly with her!

❤️ But Buddy still needs our help!

✈️ His mama and sibling are leaving SUNDAY MORNING AT 8 AM!

That means we have just ONE DAY to find Buddy a safe place to stay!

We’re working with our contracted airline on arranging his flight, obtaining his veterinary health certificate, and preparing his airline-approved travel crate so he can be reunited with his family.

🏡 WE URGENTLY NEED A TEMPORARY FOSTER!

🐾 Maximum commitment: ONE WEEK

🐾 Just a safe, loving home while we prepare his flight arrangements.

🐾 Buddy already has a family. This is NOT an adoption!

If we cannot find someone to help, Buddy could end up surrendered in the very shelter we’re trying to keep him out of. 💔

This is what rescue prevention looks like. Sometimes saving a life doesn’t mean finding an animal a new home. Sometimes it means helping them stay with the family they already have.

❤️ ONE WEEK. ONE FOSTER. ONE FAMILY KEPT TOGETHER.

Please, if you can open your home to 35 pound Buddy for a few days, MESSAGE US ASAP!

🚨🐾 TWO EVENTS! TWO CITIES! ONE RESCUE! 🐶😻

SURPRISE!!! For the FIRST TIME EVER, OMaT is attending TWO adoption events simultaneously! 😂❤️

We’ve been preparing all week for Dogtoberfest, and then Ocean Subaru of Fullerton reached out with a last-minute invitation we just couldn’t pass up!

Adoptions have been painfully slow, and we have so many deserving animals waiting for homes. So why not give them TWO opportunities to meet their forever families?! 🙌

🐾❤️ $5 FRIDAY — HELP REBUILD OUR MEDICAL FUND! ❤️🐾

WE PAID FOR YESTERDAY’S SURGERIES. NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP PAYING FOR TOMORROW’S.

Over the past few weeks, our medical fund has taken one hit after another, and quite frankly, we’re running on empty.

But the animals don’t stop needing us just because our bank account is depleted. 💔

❤️ ACE underwent lifesaving heart surgery costing $5,000.

❤️ ARLO needed surgery to remove infected hardware, followed by complications and hospitalization costing another $2,500.

❤️ MERLE required urgent veterinary care after suddenly urinating blood.

❤️ DUMPLING is next. Our newest girl needs TWO major TPLO surgeries, and we’re desperately trying to prepare for those expenses.

We’ve spent thousands getting these animals the care they needed. We didn’t wait for donations. We didn’t put their care on hold.

We paid the bills, put some on personal credit cards, and now we need your help rebuilding our medical funds.

Because rescue doesn’t stop when the money runs out. Unfortunately, neither do the emergencies.

💜 IT’S $5 FRIDAY! 💜

If 100 people donate $5, that’s $500! If 500 people participate, that’s $2,500 — enough to cover one of Dumpling’s surgeries!

Every dollar helps us recover from yesterday’s emergencies and prepare for tomorrow’s.

💜 DONATE VIA:
🐾 PayPal
🐾 Venmo
🐾 Zelle

All under: One Mutt at a Time Rescue Foundation

❤️ Can’t donate? PLEASE SHARE!

To everyone who has already supported our medical cases, THANK YOU. Your generosity has carried us through some incredibly difficult weeks. ❤️‍🩹

Every animal we help and every life we change is possible because people like YOU stand beside us.

We took care of yesterday. With your help, we can be ready for tomorrow. ❤️🐾
