Grade 8 student Tristan S. shared the final assembly speech of the school year on theme “Reflection and Growth.”

Inspired by his volunteer work with the organization Hang Time, he shared how meeting individuals reentering society after incarceration opened his eyes to the challenges many face—including limited access to books. Motivated to make a difference, he organized a book drive to help provide reading materials to the participants of Hang Time.

His story is a reminder that growth happens when we reflect on our experiences and use them to serve others.

On Monday, we gathered to celebrate four extraordinary faculty and staff members as they prepare for their well-earned retirements.

Their many years of dedication, passion, and commitment have made a lasting impact on Ridgefield Academy and the countless students, families, and colleagues whose lives they’ve touched. While we will miss their daily presence, we are grateful for the legacy they leave behind and the memories we have shared.

Last weekend, we welcomed over 350 families to our Ridgefield campus for our Touch a Truck event! It was an incredible morning of hands-on discovery and family fun as children of all ages explored a variety of construction and emergency vehicles.

Special thanks to our local partners and dedicated volunteers for bringing this event to life, and to our community for making it one of our favorite annual traditions. 🚜❤️

Preschool and Lower School had an un-bee-lievably fun morning learning all about pollinators with the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary! 🐝🦋

Our "Pollinator Party" included a nature walk around our beautiful campus, a storytime about all the different types of bees, and a hands-on crafting session where students got to build their very own Air Bee and Bees (mini bee homes!) to help local pollinators feel right at home in their own backyards.

Thank you to the CVHAS team for a wonderful day of outdoor learning! 🌱
