JSGH's summer festival is this Saturday, June 13, noon - 5pm at Blue Back Square in West Hartford.

Japan Society of Greater Hartford is happy to share this year's Japan Summer Festival T-shirt! This year's design was created by JSGH Member Brian Heath-san to celebrate the beauty and rich artistic talents of Japanese culture right here in the Greater Hartford area of Connecticut.

Please stop by at the Info booth where the shirts will be on sale throughout the festival. We have a variety of sizes from Extra Small to Extra Large.

Japan Society of Greater Hartford will be back in Blue Back Square in West Hartford Connecticut on June 13th for our 11th annual Japan Summer Festival! Come join us for a fun filled day of events and cultural celebration!

We'll have lots of musical performances, martial arts demonstrations, Obon Odori dance, calligraphy, Taiko drum performance, and more! Best of all, attendance is free and open to the public!

Professional rakugo storytellers all over Japan practice an art form dating back to the 14th century. One such performer is Katsura Sunshine, a white man from Canada, who fell in love with it, and who is now bringing rakugo to new audiences in the US and Canada.
