What he didn’t know? Joan Kendall had a masterpiece waiting for him.

Maestro—a portrait Joan created during her Figure Drawing class honoring the beloved Music History instructor who has taught, inspired, and entertained Founders Hall members for years.

And yes, it was waiting for Michael to discover it.

An inspiring start to the NCOA Age + Action Conference as Founders Hall received a Programs of Excellence recognition from the National Council on Aging and the National Institute of Senior Centers.

The recognition highlights the work happening at Founders Hall to help redefine the 60+ experience through intentional branding, storytelling, education, wellness, creativity, and community engagement.

Thank you to Dianne Stone, Associate Director of Community Partnerships and Network Activation, for presenting the recognition on behalf of NCOA and NISC. We are honored to be part of the ongoing national conversation shaping the future of modern aging and look forward to the days ahead at the conference.
