With 102 participants in the room, Rabbi Jon Haddon opened Yiddish: The Robin Hood of Languages with the beloved Yiddish poem most commonly attributed to Gene Wilder. But this wasn’t just a reading. Participants were challenged to call out every Yiddish word they recognized and share its meaning.
