🏡 Turning a House Into a Home, One Family at a Time!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Fuller Seminary for a generous donation of brand-new home furnishings - all coordinated by the wonderful Madeline Main! Thanks to your support, we provided furniture, home accents, and essentials to two families transitioning out of homeless.

Securing housing is a major milestone, but furnishing it can be a heavy financial burden. Having new, beautiful, inviting furniture that you can call your own creates an uplifting environment where families can take pride and build long-term stability. Because while housing provides stability, a home provides a sense of belonging!

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Ma Michele & Co. — you have truly gone above and beyond! ❤️

We are still in awe of just how beautiful this event was. A huge thank-you to Marianne Ashby, Chef Michele Wilson, and the teams at both HomeAgain shelters for coordinating this incredible fish fry for families experiencing homelessness!

Your hard work over the weeks of planning truly paid off. More than 80 meals were prepared and served, featuring fresh fish, macaroni, greens, chopped tropical fruit, and a variety of refreshing beverages to choose from!

And the love didn’t stop there. The LDS team even delivered meals to families who couldn’t make it to the event location. That's love and dedication!

They were laser-focused on making sure this was a wonderful experience for our families and moved with such incredible synergy that the rest of us could only step back and watch them work their magic. It was beautiful to witness!

The families were so happy—especially the children! There’s just something special about enjoying a good, clean, fresh, five-star meal on a warm fall day.

On a rainy, windy day as the season turns toward fall, things are staying warm at the HomeAgain office! 🍂💛

Our friend Caitlyn Carpenter and everyone at have blessed us with supercharged move-out kits for the families we serve! We’re talking air fresheners, disinfecting wipes, glass cleaner, garbage bags, Scrub Daddies, dishwashing liquid, whiteboards, hand sanitizer—and yes, the list goes on!

These thoughtful kits will help our families transition into their next chapter with the essentials they need to make their new space feel clean, comfortable, and truly like home. 🏡

Caitlyn, it was such a pleasure spending time with you. On a gray and dreary day, you and your team truly know how to bring brightness to so many people! Thank you for all that you do and for the loving kindness you continue to show our families. We are so grateful! 💛

Courtney Anderson — you are officially a celebrity at HomeAgain! 🎉

Thank you so much for collaborating with and donating 200 move-out kits to the communities we serve - that is mind-blowing!

We are beyond grateful for the way you have helped set so many men, women, and children up for success. From deodorant and toothbrushes to toothpaste and so much more, these essentials will make a meaningful difference for our clients for months to come.

Thank you for thinking of us, responding so quickly to the call, and showing up in such a generous way. We are incredibly honored to have a friend like you in our corner. ❤️

And a huge thank-you to our amazing volunteer, Sandy Faison, for breaking down boxes, organizing all of the toiletries, and adding tissue and paper towels to each kit. Talk about a blessing creating a domino effect! 💙

We are incredibly grateful to Goodera, and especially Alyssa Quillin at Dollar Tree Stores, for their combined generous donation of 200 canvas backpacks!

While Richmond and Petersburg schools have strict requirements that prevent students from using canvas backpacks, that didn't stop this gift from making a meaningful impact across our community!

Because of this donation, we were able to share backpacks with:

📚 Ettrick Elementary School, a Title I School in Chesterfield County Public Schools, for supporting students in need

✈️ North Gayton Baptist Church, a longtime HomeAgain partner, for upcoming mission trips

🎓 UP RVA , whose team supports families and students throughout their entire educational journeys, all the way into college

🧥 The International Association of Ministers' Wives and Ministers' Widows, Inc. (IAMWMW, Inc.) as they work to prepare for a special winter warming event serving individuals experiencing homelessness in RVA

WOW!!

What started as one generous donation quickly became an opportunity to bless multiple organizations and hundreds of lives. That's the beautiful thing about community. When people come together with a heart to serve, kindness multiplies.

This moment felt especially special. Seeing so many smiles and knowing these backpacks will be put to good use across the region is a reminder of what can happen when organizations work together for the greater good.🩷

We are honored to be surrounded by so many incredible partners throughout RVA, not only those who support our mission, but those we have the privilege of supporting in return.

And this is only the beginning. More great things are still to come!

What a night of great people, good food, friendly competition, lots of laughs and incredible support for HomeAgain!
