Beginning Soul Line Dance Class
With rotating instructors
2:00 PM–3:00 PM
Before the party starts, we’re opening the floor with a Beginning Soul Line Dance class created especially for folks who are new to line dancing, returning after time away, or wanting to feel more confident before the social begins.
This welcoming, low-pressure class celebrates Black Line Dance culture by focusing on foundational steps and core sequences at an accessible, easy-to-follow pace. Participants will learn the basics of Soul Line Dance, explore the names and structures of popular dances, and build comfort with rhythm, timing, and moving together in community.
This class is designed for beginners. No prior experience is needed.
Perfect for:
First-time line dancers
Beginners who want a strong foundation
Anyone who wants to feel more comfortable before the social begins
Bring your curiosity, your joy, and your readiness to move.
First Sunday Soul Line Dance Social
3:00 PM–6:00 PM
First Sundays are all about celebrating the joy of dance, especially Soul Line Dance, and gathering in Black community to move, groove, and connect. Whether you are a seasoned line dancer or just learning your first steps, this is a space to share energy, laughter, and rhythm together.
We will also have cards and dominoes available for those who want to take a breather or enjoy games in community throughout the afternoon.
