The Millionaires Tax law was challenged and will appear on Washington voters’ ballots as an initiative to be approved or disapproved by voters.

Initiative 645 (I-645) aims to repeal the tax. Because of its future positive impact on early learning, BrightSpark encourages voters to vote ❌NO❌ on this proposal and keep the Millionaires Tax in place!

This week, we partnered with Global Early Learning to help them host a site visit with Senator Vandana Slatter. They had a meaningful conversation about early childhood education, the families they serve, and the importance of investing in their youngest learners.

Site visits are important for child care organizations because they allow them to provide information and give legislators an inside look at their programs. This helps legislators see the impact of early learning and why its important they contribute to making actionable change.
