Discover Your Northwest You can find us at such wonderful places as the Hiram S. We even funded the world famous VolcanoCam at Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument and much more.

Discover Your Northwest promotes the discovery of Northwest public lands, enriches the experience of visitors, and builds community stewardship of these special places today and for generations to come. We help people have great experiences when visiting Northwest public lands and aspire to cultivate a spirit of community stewardship of these special places for generations to come. We do this by operating on-site educational bookstores that provide visitors with high-quality books, toys, DVDs, and other items that help them appreciate the natural and historical significance of the area (see our online store for examples of what we sell). Chittenden Locks in Seattle to the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest up in the North Cascades as well as even more locations. We then use our sales proceeds to fund additional on-site events and programs, including state-of-the-art displays, free publications, speaker series, and habitat cleanup and restoration programs for volunteers of all social backgrounds.

Help our community raise funds for Discover Your Northwests programs and other nature-based programs for kids across Central Oregon on Friday October 2! Take part in hands-on activities like stream studies, volcano demonstrations, and nature journaling, while learning about the Youth Nature Access Fund.

This event is open to all ages to come and experience how field trips can enhance education and foster an appreciation for the amazing place we live. Kids, teachers, parents, supporters, and nature lovers of all ages are invited!

Cost: Free! Donations are encouraged. Every dollar contributed gets more students learning outdoors
Food and Drink: Available for purchase.
Raffle: $5-10 raffle tickets are available to purchase for nature-themed prizes

The Snoqualmie Ranger District of the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is excited to introduce our 2026 Ranger Led Summer Guided Hike Program. This summer hikers will have opportunities to hike the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) South to Lodge Lake and back.

The focus of the guided hikes will be on the ways Nature Connects Us and a chance to explore the Snoqualmie Pass area geology, history, flora and fauna, as well as discussing ways to recreate responsibly and respectfully on public lands. The hike itself is a wonderful mix of big vistas with lots of wildflowers, time in the cooler woods and time near Lodge Lake with views of Denny Mountain.

Programs take place on the following dates: August 22nd, September 12th and September 27th. All programs will meet at the Snoqualmie Pass Visitor Center at 8:45am, and the hike will be 4-5 hours.
