A smile can be the part of the story we notice first. But for many families affected by cleft, there is so much more behind it: appointments, questions, uncertainty, decisions, and a lot of courage along the way.

Sometimes, awareness starts with something as simple as sharing the right information with the right person at the right time.

When a child is diagnosed with a cleft, parents can have a lot of questions, sometimes all at once.

When does treatment start? What will treatment involve? Will my child be able to eat and speak normally? Will they need more than one surgery? Where can we find support?

There isn't one journey that looks exactly like another. Treatment plans depend on each child's needs, and having the right care team and reliable information can help families understand what comes next.
