How almost burning out has forced my hand..

This summer I’ve run 35 events across the South East, South West and North East England.

I felt broken at times and had multiple points of feeling it was all too much.

But at least it’s got me to this point where something has to change, & I’ve told myself I physically cannot have another Summer like this one again.
No change, No more Washed Up.

I do know I’m more important than this business but it’s funny how when you’re In it, you’re in it & it’s so hard to think straight,..

The PLA (Port of London Authority) who are the custodians of the River Thames recently called me “their super star of the Thames” and I had tears in my eyes when I told them I was close to packing it all in.

But after some off which has been just what I needed the other was rally exploring whether this was could be more than just me and take the leap I’ve been scared to do for so long and try & grow what I do.

I’m now back & focusing all my energy on growing a lovely army of Washed Up leaders who I will train & pay to run events.

I’ve no idea how this is going to work really but I’ve got a brilliant new mentor from RBC who’s helped other social enterprises In similar ish boats & feel scared / determined to see where this can go.

I wish I could have got to this point without breaking myself but it’s funny how sometimes you need to be pushed..
