Choose your fighter 🎮 but make it changemaking!

We all show up for change differently. Maybe you’re the one asking the hard questions, bringing people together, sharing the story, caring for your community, building solutions, or taking action.

We had a wonderful time in LA for last weekend’s “The Plastic Detox” community screening and expert panel! 🎥

Thanks to everyone who joined, asked great questions, and signed the petition and wrote postcards to city councilmembers to pass a reuse policy!

Kinda chic to pause before buying something and ask: “Do I actually need this?” 💅

We’re constantly encouraged to buy more, but everything we consume requires resources and energy to produce, package, and transport, and eventually becomes waste.

This Clutter Awareness Week, let’s rethink our relationship with stuff and push back against a culture of overconsumption. Buying less and keeping what we already own in use longer is better for our homes and the planet. 🌎

Who’s a fan of these BUZZ BALLS?!

I’ve never even tried but I keep seeing them EVERYWHERE litter picking and beach cleaning, I know it’s all types of brands / rubbish and not just these buzz balls but we are finding so many of these this summer… How do we stop people littering when they’re out during the summer having a good time?!

Does your local Starbucks actually follow its own reuse policy? ☕👀

Starbucks says reusable cups should be the default for dine-in orders. We're asking people across the U.S. to help us see if that's actually happening.

Join our nationwide citizen science project and help hold Starbucks accountable to its reuse commitments!

What if one bottle could be used again and again instead of tossed after a single drink? 🧐 That’s the idea behind reuse systems. They cut plastic pollution, save resources, and make it easier to choose refill over waste.

Communities around the world are proving reuse works. Let’s help California lead the way. Tell your representatives to support reuse systems: action.storyofstuff.org/letter/california-reps-share-bring-back-refill-video/ (link in bio!) 💚

What if grabbing a drink didn't create more waste? 🥤

Our latest animation, Bring Back Refill, imagines a future where reusable bottles are the norm, not the exception. Reuse systems can reduce waste, limit microplastic exposure, save water, create jobs, and make refilling part of everyday life.
It's time to move beyond our throwaway culture.

▶️ Watch the video, share it with your community, and help spread the vision of a refillable future.

⚽ ❌⚽ Defend your balls from Dove!

Microplastics have been found in the air we breathe, the food we eat, in our organs, blood…. And now early studies show microplastics may be showing up in semen?!
Dove sells billions of plastic packages a year. Its plastic packaging contributes to microplastic pollution, some of which makes its way into our bodies.

As a sponsor, Dove is selling itself as a brand that cares about men. But if it really cared about men like it cares about the game, it would kick out plastic packaging. Greenpeace USA
