September is Hunger Action Month! Here in Shasta County, 14% of local families struggle to put food on the table.

The Shasta County Food Bank at Dignity Health Connected Living serves nearly 8,000 neighbors each month, plus helps to keep dozens of local food pantries stocked, including 34 school pantries in Shasta County Office of Education schools.

Our friends at Rogue Credit Union are leading the charge this month to help keep these school pantries stocked! They generously donated $2,500 to Connected Living, and want to inspire you to give too!

You can join them by donating funds at www.supportmercynorth.org/hungeraction, or by dropping off family-friendly food items at any local Rogue Credit Union branch.

THANK YOU, Rogue Credit Union, for being a beacon of hope to hungry families!

đź’— Local business. Local families. Double the impact. đź’—

We are incredibly grateful to Natalie and Evermoreshasta for turning her birthday month into an opportunity to give back to a place that holds a special place in her heart.

Before beginning her journey in aesthetics and wellness, Natalie served as a Labor & Delivery nurse at our very own Mercy Mt. Shasta, helping welcome some of our community’s newest little ones into the world. This August, she is honoring that connection by raising funds for the Maternal Child Services Department at Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta and its Labor & Delivery remodel.

Throughout the month of August, Evermore is matching every donation dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of every gift. They hope to support this crucial department by raising over $2000.00, to help create a more welcoming space for local families during some of life’s most meaningful moments.

We are so thankful for Natalie’s passion, generosity, and continued commitment to the families of our community — and we love seeing a local business use its platform to make such a meaningful difference.

If you visit Evermore Aesthetics & Wellness Evermoreshasta this month, be sure to ask about their Babies, Birthdays & Giving Back campaign and join Natalie in supporting our local moms, babies, and families. đź’•

Thank you, Natalie and the entire Evermore team, for helping give every baby a beautiful beginning.

We are overjoyed to share a big upgrade for our care team and our tiniest patients at Mercy Mt. Shasta! 👶✨

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Mercy Mt. Shasta has officially received our new fetal heart monitors, along with the carts and essential accessories needed to put them into immediate service.

This project would not have been possible without the amazing support of Mt. Shasta Rotary , The Rotary Club of W**d, Pacific Power , AGT CPAs & Advisors, and so many other wonderful donors who care deeply about the health of our community.

Swipe to see our equipment “before and after” and join us in celebrating this wonderful addition to our facility! Thank you all for making this possible. 🩵🩷

Today we are incredibly grateful for one of our cherished community partners. Ray-Mac Mechanical Inc has been supporting Mercy Mt. Shasta for over a decade and they have played a vital role in our ability to provide high-quality, compassionate care to our community. Thank you Ray-Mac for funding a new Jaundice Meter for our Maternal Child Services Department. This vital piece of equipment allows us to provide faster, non-invasive screenings for our tiniest patients, ensuring they get the care they need right when they need it.

Ray Mac has been a pillar of support for the entire Siskiyou County community for years and it is hearts like theirs that truly make a difference. They always show up for our community. We are so lucky to have partners who care as much as we do about the health and well-being of our patients. Thank you for everything you do, Ray-Mac! 💙🩷

A heartfelt thank you to the River Trail Ride & BBQ for their incredible generosity and commitment to local cancer care.

2026 marked their 5th year and we are honored to receive a $10,000 gift to help establish the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Endowment benefiting cancer patients at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital.

Over the past five years, this remarkable event has raised nearly $40,000 to support cancer care right here in Tehama County. Their dedication is helping ensure that local patients have access to compassionate care close to home when they need it most.

To everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, donated, and attended—thank you for making a lasting impact in our community. Together, we are building a healthier future for our neighbors, friends, and families.
