Our first-of "Ridgefield Warm Wishes" holiday gifting program was the perfect way to cap off our year of encouraging the power of giving as the real receiving 🙏

With a few details about recipient's hobbies and likes to ensure gifts were well-received, gifters created curated love in order to bring joyful surprises to fellow community members yesterday and today 💫

As one gift-giver said, "I really hope they enjoy it as much as I enjoyed putting it together for them," another sharing, "We were able to give the greatest gift of all -- our time, compassion, and reminder that our recipient is deeply valued and loved by our community." The NCL Nutmeg

Huge thanks to Emily Mills for jumping in from the get-go, Monica Stromwall for her heart in ensuring each gift was tailored perfectly and delivered with love, SOAR Advisor and veteran Diana Kessler for her generosity beyond compare (and recruiting more FCB peeps), 11th graders for your hearts and commitment to intergenerational connection, Victoria and the youth for your passion for giving, Lisa and for leaning in always, and Clem for your heart of gold. ✨

Yesterday was a community collaboration dreams are made of, with the loving teams , .newtown and Young Leader Christopher and the baking club at Joel Barlow bringing uplift and holiday healing to Bridgeport Hospital and Middlebrook Farms in Trumbull 💫

From the thoughtful handwritten notes and inspiring quotes on cups to their delivery on every floor and unit (and in elevators and hallways), it was a beautiful mosaic of teamwork honoring the theme of "Holiday Healing"🙏

One of the staff asked for an arrangement to take to her mom in assisted living later in the day, another telling the dancers it was the greatest gift she has received in her years as a nurse - our younger generation social change makers being the change🌺

Deep gratitude to Nikole, Shelby, Jen, and Paige for your hearts, Sophie/Sophia/Casey for being SOAR's mission in human form, and Moesha for ensuring countless lives were touched through our final Flower Power of 2025 ❤️

With all going on in the world this season, thanks be to Kathy Graham for her community leadership and drive to make a difference through the annual Hailey's Day of Kindness, providing a great opportunity to bring love and connection with to residents of Ridgefield Crossings 💫

Our beautiful time spent left me reflecting on the powerful journey of Hailey's family to honor her life and loss through bringing others together, as well as the tremendous work being done (and support needed) to make advances in maternal health by Ridgefielder Brittney Crystal and her team ✨

Heartfelt thanks to Alisa for a shared passion for intergenerational and inclusive connections, and to all who raised the social vibration today as bright lights of kindness ❤️

If there's one thing I have learned good and well in 2025, it's the supreme power of intergenerational social connection, something that goes both ways, empowers individuals, and creates compassion in communities 🙌

The M&M show had me at the elf shoes, but so too did the youth social sparks encouraging Tati and Dale to join their rousing rendition of Jingle Bells 🎼

I took to the sidelines and watched as the social electricity filled the room, with 8 decades of peeps mingling without pause. My heart swelled when a newcomer who recently lost her husband said she looks forward to the next event, as it's our reason why 💫

With enormous gratitude to for hosting, Rotary for their support of this 2025 series, for the yum bagels, our NCL groups for the delectable eats, and for filling the room with love 🍪

I've seen and felt the benefits to our younger generation of spending time connecting in an impromptu setting with those who have so much brilliance and light to infuse, please think about finding ways throughout the season to connect across the ages❤️

From local farms to new shops and restaurants in Georgetown to women and family-owned businesses thriving in Ridgefield, Redding, SoNo, Bridgeport, and across Fairfield County -- You are the reason community connections are growing and a sense of togetherness is thriving amidst all things - Thank you for being YOU with the toil it takes; let us all support and celebrate you throughout the year👏

A personal message to anyone needing uplift during the holidays, something powerful my friend shared with me -- take a pause on the list of things you wish you had done and script a list of the things you have accomplished, including all the things from which you have survived. It will shine a bright light on how strong, bold, and beautiful You Are❤️

A beautiful coming together of compassionate community came into being in Redding this week thanks to shared hearts and visions to bring an abundance of homemade love to 55 fellow residents during the holidays ✨

Called "Spreading Warmth, Sharing A Meal," this first-of collaboration was a dream come true with special thanks to Margherita Pilato of Social Services and new Reddingite Audra Kruk who helped drive its ex*****on from seed plant to fruition🙏

Community is everything and this was such a beautiful show of groups coming together without an ounce of pause to help cook, bake, arrange flowers, package meals, and deliver 💫

The gratitude runs so deep for this beautiful year of social connection, I am giving myself the grace to share the depth of my grateful heart throughout the Thanksgiving weekend to those without whom SOAR is but a wish 💫

To the Board and Advisors who embody the mission of inclusion and connection, volunteers who show up for SOAR every day in every way, community partners who feel our hope and heed our call, youth group leaders who juggle all things to ensure they lead by amazing example, and flower donors whose souls are more giving than any I know, please hear my heart say, "Amen." 🙏

To the young leaders across communities who have stepped up and leaned in, you are strong, you are remarkable, and you are perfect precisely for who you are ✨

Thank you to each of you who takes time to read my 1980's blog entries on Instagram, my soul can only hope something I have inked along the way has changed the outcome of a day. Thank you for embracing my difference, and for accepting me for who I am, frailties and foibles and humanness and all. Peace and love to all ❤️

Thanksgiving day share to send soul-deep gratitude to all of you who have joined this journey of social connection. You have changed my world, altered my life, and helped me believe in the profound beauty of walking life out together as family 🙏

On the hardest of days, you have been everything I needed and more - my match in the darkness, understanding when there was confusion, daily reminder of the meaning of friendship and love ✨

For those who may be struggling for any reason with the holidays, I inked these words to share with you:

A new day is coming, a new way to fill up from within, fulfillment to be had on another path. Your journey will reveal itself as you pause and listen to your own heart beating when the noise around you begins to swell. You will find your place and space of healing, and hold on to it dearly. A new dawn and a new day is waiting for you. ❤️

What a bright shining light and beautiful surprise Sophia was for the staff in Bridgeport Hospital's oncology and medical intensive care units as well as families in the surgical intensive care unit, a beacon for those needing her love in the moment 🙌

Let's please take Sophie's soulful lead as we head into the holidays and thank, honor, and celebrate those in your lives and communities whose roles and work positions don't pause throughout the season 💫

We are in this together, this electric energy of light and love which is bigger and bolder than the trials we see and face - Let's spend this holiday season walking out the change and it will be so ❤️

Shining a Sunday spotlight on incredibly-gifted and brilliant young leader, Aleksandra Czajkowski, for seamlessly guiding her nationally-recognized Trumbull High School DECA team through their first Flower Power program to uplift all support staff within the school 🙏

Aleks' "wise beyond her years" initiative, thoughtful approach, and natural leadership made it a tremendous joy to serve together, also making it no surprise that Aleks won DECA's State Travel & Tourism Team Decision Making First Prize and attended the International Career Development Conference twice, once as a competitor and once as a THRIVE leader -- all while juggling school, family, and life as a highly-skilled competitive dancer. Next up is her role as Clara in Nutcracker💫

Hats off to the empathic leadership and brilliant futures of trumbullmarketing and huge thanks to DECA Advisor, Christina Rusate, and Nikole LaChioma for your leadership and powerful guidance of our next generation of leaders. Thank you to all working within schools and youth programs for changing lives daily ❤️

There are moments and programs along the way infused with so much impromptu joy, hope, love, and connection you can palpably feel change -- last night's Friendsgiving with Ballard Green residents and the 11th graders/moms and Lion's Heart boys group was social electricity at its very best ✨

It was loud, it was fun, it was authentic intergenerational connection that filled hearts and souls as the holiday season gets underway and community means everything 🙏

Always with gratitude for Monica Stromwall going the extra 10 miles, and to Emily/Debbie/Erica and all the moms doing triple duty, you are the change. The leaders in the house last night were our younger generation of social change makers coming together to uplift others -- thanks be to each of you for filling the world with hope ❤️❤️

Huge thanks to State Director Nora Duncan for taking the leap to do their first immersive community program as a Flower Power, and to the tremendous team for always going above and beyond for community and connection 🙏

Yesterday's program at Madison Clubhouse was a beautiful reflection of intergenerational social connection and SOAR's mantra of service providing uplifted outcomes for creators and recipients. We delivered arrangements and heartfelt notes to 3 different locations, as well as countless arrangements into the community with 35 buckets of rescued flowers headed out the door. Residents at Northbridge Health Center, friends at Homes For The Brave, and those at RidgeCrest were all able to receive our love.💫

Enormous thanks to Young Leader Christopher for his refreshed orchids which brought enormous joy, our first-time volunteers Alicia, Ayana, and Esther for helping change outcomes, and the SOAR A team of Sophia, Sophie, and Ryan for being our reason why. Soul-deep gratitude for Jarrad McCown of Wakeman for changing lives every day in every way because of who you are. This team moved the social needle yesterday in immeasurable ways - Be YOU always ❤️❤️
