The finishes are here. 🏗️

Last time we told you we were planning the finishes and furniture for the Day Resource Center. Now there's paint on the walls, glass going into the offices, light fixtures waiting in crates to be hung.

The signature awning is finished, and standing beneath it you start to feel the warmth: the wood ceiling, the skylights, the way the whole entry opens up instead of closing in.

There's still a lot of dirt out front, but it will soon be transformed into a welcome covered outdoor space providing shelter from the sun.

When the doors open in October, everything needed to begin a journey forward will be under one roof — a warm cup of coffee, a shaded patio, an academic center with new computers, personalized support, and access to life-changing resources.

This new Day Resource Center will provide a place of respite, restoration, and resources, helping our neighbors experiencing homelessness take their next steps toward healing and stability.

The free car wash is ON from 10AM to 2PM, but it's happening at one location now:

Simpson University students are out there with buckets, hoses and a whole lot of energy, washing your car for free. No charge, no catch. Leave a donation if you're able — every dollar goes straight into shelter, meals and recovery right here in Redding.

Bring your filthy car. Bring your friend's filthier car. 😎

146,520 meals. 91,250 nights of shelter. One year.

That's 146,520 times someone sat down to eat who wasn't sure they'd get to. That's 91,250 nights someone slept somewhere safe instead of outside.

Every one of those was made possible by people who decided it mattered.

Our Administration Office Has Moved!

Our Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and Donor Development departments can now be found at:

Our previous location at 2842 S. Market Street is now home to our Coordinated Community Care team and is open by appointment only.

You can still reach us at (530) 242-5920. Please bear with us as our phone system is currently in transition, and it may take us a little longer than usual to return messages.

Your car called. It's filthy. 🚗✨

Simpson University students are partnering with us for a FREE city-wide car wash fundraiser on August 29th, 10AM–2PM.

Get your car washed free of charge, and any donation you make goes straight towards helping to transform lives and bring hope to those who come to the Mission.

A big thank you to Kenny Elwood of Elwood Ranch, who donated ground beef to our kitchen yesterday! 🙏

His donation was made in honor of Dylan—a 2026 graduate of the Mission’s Bridge Discipleship Program whom Kenny has been mentoring. Their relationship began when Dylan was still living on the streets and has since grown into a meaningful friendship.

Thank you, Kenny, for your generosity and for investing in Dylan as he continues taking steps to transform his life—for himself and for his son. ❤️

Last Friday, 15 men graduated from our Bridge Discipleship Program 💙 — months of hard, deep, transformational work. We're so proud of these guys.
