The future of affordable housing is taking shape right here in Shasta County! 🏡❤️

NVCSS is proud to partner with Emergent to bring innovative, 3D-printed housing to Shasta Lake, creating new possibilities for affordable homeownership.

With more than 40 years of construction experience, Emergent founder and CEO Dawn Ajamian is helping reimagine how homes are built. Using 3D concrete printing technology, these homes combine modern design, energy efficiency, fire resistance, and disaster resilience with the goal of making quality housing more accessible.

This innovative approach is also helping introduce a new generation to careers in construction, combining technology with skilled trades to address workforce challenges and create new opportunities.

For NVCSS, this partnership is about more than building homes. It's about creating opportunities for families to put down roots, take pride in homeownership, and build a more stable future.

This week, we say farewell to Barbara King, who has served as a Resident Manager at Wilshire Place for 11 years, supporting an NVCSS housing community serving people with special needs.

Known for her incredible patience, attention to detail, and love for her residents, Barbara has helped make Wilshire Place a welcoming place to call home.

A Smile. A Gift. A Little Magic. ✨

For Dr. Viet Le, giving back has always been close to his heart. From his early involvement with the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement through the Diocese of San Diego to his career as a dentist, his passion for helping others has never changed. Today, he helps people feel confident and unafraid to smile. 💛

Last year, Dr. Le brought together fellow dentists to sponsor a live auction item at NVCSS's Magic of Christmas. That same spirit of giving brought him from San Diego to his first Magic, where he experienced an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, joy, and a room full of generosity.

But the magic didn't end that night. ✨

The next day, while exploring Redding, Dr. Le saw the need for basic necessities like housing, food, and warmth. Moved by what he saw, he purchased blankets and distributed them to neighbors experiencing homelessness.

Just like a smile, generosity has a way of spreading. 💛

The power of Promotores comes from people who understand, because they have been there too. ❤️

Ana Camacho once received support from Promotores herself. Today, as the Promotores Outreach Supervisor at NVCSS, she is helping provide that same sense of connection, understanding, and hope to others in her community.

In just one year, the Promotores team helped more than 250 families through culturally responsive outreach, mental health awareness, education, and support. With only three team members, their impact is already significant, but the need reaches far beyond the communities they currently serve.

With continued support, Promotores can reach more families, break down mental health stigmas, and expand culturally connected care to more communities across Northern California. ❤️
