This year, we will continue to make it easier than ever to capture your special moment with Santa!

We’ll use your own cell phone to take the photo, so you’ll have it instantly, ready to share with family and friends. It’s quick, convenient, and lets you spend less time worrying about pictures and more time enjoying the magic of the season!

Another successful Fall Meet!

A healthy number of live steamers and families came out this weekend to enjoy the trains, good company, and everything our hobby has to offer. It was great to see the hobby continuing to thrive, with more younger members out enjoying the rails!

A big thank-you to Kevin Sach and crew, along with the Guintas, for providing excellent food throughout the weekend.

Thank you all those who volunteered. We were able to do setup and takedown with ease!

Stay tuned for an upcoming post about our Santa Train, returning the first two weekends of December!

Did you know there are other Live Steam clubs out there besides ours?

Members of our Club and the Golden Gate Live Steamers were recently invited to run at the Portola Valley and Alpine Railroad.

One of the great benefits of this hobby is the opportunity to travel to other clubs, meet fellow Live Steamers, and experience different layouts.

About 10 SVLSRM members made the trip with their equipment and had a great time running on their wonderful layout.

A big thank you to the Portola Valley and Alpine Railroad for hosting us and giving us the opportunity to enjoy another great Live Steam experience!

Another successful Public Run Weekend in the books!

Thank you to everyone who came out to ride the trains and spend the weekend with us. We hope you had a great time!

A huge thank you as well to all of our members who volunteered their time throughout the weekend. From our engineers and conductors to our station agents and everyone working behind the scenes, these events would not be possible without your help.
