At the Effie Yeaw Nature Center the absolute biggest thing we do is deliver educational programs in and around the very Nature we are teaching the students about. We believe this is so incredibly important for a young child in their developing understanding of the world to connect with nature past just the facts and lessons in their books. When students are learning in the "classroom of the outdoors" they are so much more involved in their own learning - asking questions, making discoveries & fostering their own sense of appreciation for the natural world. A gift today to the Effie Yeaw Nature Center is a gift towards continuing nature education & conservation in the Sacramento Region!
