Our new Community Food Hub is open—and we need you!

Volunteers are the backbone of the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub. Whether you enjoy welcoming guests, organizing food, or working behind the scenes, there is a place for you on our team.

Volunteer shifts:
• Tuesdays: 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
• Thursdays: 3:30–7:30 p.m.
• Third Saturday of each month: 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Opportunities include guest check-in, sharing guest information, data entry, food sorting, and stocking shelves.

What a wonderful day for our community! On Tuesday, August 18, nearly 50 Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce members, elected officials, community partners and friends gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub.

We are excited to open our doors to the public at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19. Our new Hub offers neighbors facing food insecurity a welcoming grocery-store experience grounded in dignity, respect and choice.

Thank you to the Chamber and everyone who joined this special celebration—and to the many people whose partnership, hard work and generosity made this moment possible.

The ribbon has been cut. The shelves are ready. Now it’s time to welcome our neighbors!

Backpacks, new shoes, sharpened pencils. ✏️ For kids to show up ready to learn, they also need to show up fed. Nutritious food fuels concentration, energy, and attendance, all the things that help a kid succeed on day one and every day after.

As we get ready to open the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub, this is exactly the kind of impact we're building toward: consistent, dignified access to good food for local families, including the students in our community.

Food has always been more than a meal—it is culture, connection, and love.

During the pandemic, my mom picked up food for my grandma and other relatives. When our family had enough, she shared with others. That experience showed me how generosity multiplies—and how food insecurity can touch any family.

This October, I’m proud to golf for the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub in the L5 Investments Capital Cup Charity Golf Tournament. The Food Hub gives families access to nutritious food with choice and dignity.

We are overflowing with gratitude for our friends at Franklin Templeton! 🎉 In honor of their 20th anniversary of global employee volunteering, their team held a food drive and built a can sculpture at their office before donating $2,000 and delivering it straight to our door. Talk about creativity with a cause!

This is just the latest chapter in a partnership we treasure.
