🌟FCCP is excited to host an Early Childhood Education (ECE) STEAM Activity Lab in our lobby area! Lobby hours Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am-2pm.

🔬 What is a STEAM Activity Lab?

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Our new activity lab features an interactive mirrored play table with hands-on learning materials designed especially for children ages 0–5.

While families visit our center and wait to receive services, young children will have an opportunity to play, explore, discover, and learn. Through playful activities, children can explore concepts such as light, shadows, shapes, building, and natural materials while developing important observation, problem-solving, language, and early learning skills.

💡 Learning through play!

This wonderful opportunity is made possible through SMUD's 2025–2026 SHINE Award, received by the Friends of the Sacramento Public Library, in collaboration with the Sacramento Public Library and the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) Early Learning Department.

Through the STEAM in ECE Project, community waiting areas are being transformed into engaging learning spaces that provide free, hands-on, playful learning experiences for young children and their families.

We are excited to bring this resource to our families at Folsom Cordova Community Partnership and help inspire our youngest learners to explore, wonder, create, and become the next generation of green thinkers! 🌱🔍🧱✨
