For no good reason, I seldom highlight the Third Wednesday- Be Our Guest Dinner on Social Media. But it smells unearthly good around here today, so I was inspired to get out my camera! Too bad we don't have smellovision!! 😋

Month after month, chef Barbara Leard puts this amazing meal together along with our dedicated volunteers. Community members can eat in or take this meal home. This ministry has been around for at least 20 years. Thankfully, it survived the pandemic and continues to thrive.

We also distribute clothing and other goods we've acquired.

Here are some shots of the crew at work, as well as a brief peek at some of the abundance we share with our guests. There is a lovely garden grown salad along with gorgeous meat sauce bubbling on the stove to go with tonight's rigatoni.

Happy FIFTH ANNIVERSARY to The People's Pantry!! We are an ecumenically resourced food distribution at the United Methodist Church of Rancho Cordova!

We are thankful for our leadership, our volunteers, and for our community partners-- St. Clements Episcopal Church, The Rossmoor Ward of the LDS Church, Cordova Baptist, and most particularly the Sacramento County Food Bank & Family Services.
