Wake County Basketball Association is dedicated to growing the game of basketball for youth 6-18 across the greater Wake County area.

Offering seasonal rec leagues, skills & travel teams, WCBA is a not-for-profit community-based volunteer organization. The Wake County Basketball Association features competitive AAU/grassroots basketball and a recreational basketball league. WCBA 2026 Spring 2 Season Details

Please note: We do not have an all-girls league. All age groups are Co-ed.

When registering, please ensure your player is signed up for the grade level they will be in during the 2025-2026 school year.

League Structure

Our league features a variety of age groups. Gym locations, days of play, and times will vary based on age group and may change each week. Because of the two holiday weekends during the season, you could have a practice on a Friday or at another gym location (one time). The season will last from May 11th to July 12th

Boys & Girls Club, 5616 Fox Road Sundays Only 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Grades 3-4
Boys & Girls Club, 5616 Fox Road Mondays 5:45 pm - 9:00 pm and
Saturdays Mornings

Grades 5-6
Boys & Girls Club, 5616 Fox Road Tuesdays 5:45 pm - 9:00 pm
Saturdays Noon - 3:30 pm

Grades 7-8
Boys & Girls Club, 5616 Fox Road Wednesdays 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Saturdays 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Grades 9-12
Boys & Girls Club, 5616 Fox Road Thursdays 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Sundays 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm

WE NEED VOLUNTEER COACHES EACH SEASON! If you are interested in volunteering, please indicate your interest in the question portion of your registration form.

Registration for each age group will close once the group reaches capacity. If an age group is full, you may register for our waitlist. Additional teams may be added if there is enough player demand and gym space is available.

As we step into a new year, we want to pause and say thank you to the thousands of players and families who were part of WCBA in 2025. 💙

Across our seasonal rec leagues, academies, and skills sessions, we were proud to welcome and support thousands of young athletes, helping them grow in confidence, teamwork, and love for the game. Your commitment, energy, and trust are what make WCBA such a special community.

As we look ahead, the excitement is only building — from another great Winter League season underway to the future WCBA home gymnasium opening in Fall 2026, which will allow us to expand our reach and impact even more families across Wake County.
