🦅 Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day 🦅

On this Veterans Day, CUCA proudly honors the courageous men and women who have served our country. We are especially grateful for the veterans working within our North Carolina member companies, bringing invaluable leadership, resilience, and dedication to the job every day.

Their commitment to service and excellence continues to inspire us all. Today, we recognize and thank them for their sacrifices, not only in protecting our nation but also in strengthening our industries and communities.

To every veteran within our CUCA member companies and beyond—thank you for your service. We stand united in appreciation of your bravery and contributions.

CUCA is pleased to have entered into a settlement agreement with Piedmont Natural Gas which resolves all contested issues in the pending general rate case proceeding before the North Carolina Utilities Commission.

North Carolina’s manufacturers have been hit particularly hard with the rising costs of energy in recent years. This agreement will help to moderate rising costs for manufacturers while still supporting Piedmont’s investment in safety compliance and system upgrades. By working together toward such agreements CUCA is proud to help protect the thousands of jobs our members represent across the state and which form the backbone of this state’s economy.

We appreciate all the work put into this agreement by Piedmont and other stakeholders, including the Public Staff – North Carolina Utilities Commission.

Piedmont Natural Gas has reached a comprehensive agreement with consumer and industrial groups in North Carolina related to its rate review request, filed in April of this year.

The Carolina Utility Customers Association (CUCA) has joined forces with forty-eight other organizations in supporting increased natural gas pipeline capacity in the United States. CUCA threw its support behind a recent letter sent by the Industrial Energy Consumers of America (IECA) to the U.S. Senate urging the passage of permitting reform legislation to increase natural gas pipeline capacity.
