Another important step forward for the ALS community: The Senate HELP Committee has approved the ACT for ALS Reauthorization Act.

This bipartisan progress reflects the voices of people living with ALS, families, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and advocates across the country who continue urging Congress to act.

ACT for ALS is helping advance research, support expanded access to investigational therapies, and strengthen the infrastructure needed to move promising treatments forward.

Now Congress needs to finish the job before the current law expires this September.

Today, we honor and remember Roy Woodlief as he is laid to rest with the dignity and recognition of a true hero.

Roy faced ALS with incredible courage, strength, determination, and FAITH. While ALS may have challenged his body, it never diminished his spirit or the impact he had on those around him.

We are grateful for the opportunity to have known Roy and to have walked alongside him and his family on this journey. Today, we join them in celebrating a life well lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire others.

Please keep Roy's family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they say their final goodbyes.

Rest easy, Roy. Your fight is over, but your story will not be forgotten. 🧡

More than 80 years later, the ALS community is still fighting for better treatments, stronger research, improved access to care, and policies that reflect the urgency families face every day.

That work depends on action.
