What a week!?

We’re in the final phase of our Reopening Plan which means we’ve officially begun welcoming agencies to our Agency Partner Orientations.

Our Agency Partner Orientations are offered quarterly and onboards all agencies with comprehensive training on our Referral Program. Our Referral Program now offers 2 points of entry for agencies to access hygiene kits for participants and all social workers or case managers must attend to refer women and families.

For Q2, we officially welcomed 6 agencies as Referring Partners! 🥳

It’s a BIG day at our new Family Distribution Site! 🥳

We’ve officially kicked off our new roll out processes for Rapid Pick Up and we’ve been BUSY.

Our Rapid Pick Up program allows partnering agencies to simply drive up to a parking spot and we immediately load their vehicles with fulfilled referral requests within 10 minutes. This is a quick and easy way to meet the urgent needs of families while responding with efficiency.

Today, we’ve successfully responded to 9 women and families on our first Rapid Pick Up!

This isn’t our finish line, it’s our encore! ✨

We are proud to announce the Grand Opening of our new Family Distribution Site and the launch of our Dignity Program—a space designed to restore choice, dignity, and hope through in-person shopping experiences where families can access the products they need at no cost.

For many, hygiene products are often overlooked. Yet, access to these essentials impacts confidence, health, school attendance, employment, and overall well-being.

Join us as we celebrate this milestone, tour our new space, and see firsthand how your support is helping us build a future where no woman, no girl, and no family has to go without what they need.

This achievement belongs to every volunteer, donor, partner, advocate, and supporter who believed in this vision. Thank you for helping us turn compassion into action and dignity into reality.

Registration is required. Please RSVP in our bio!

For questions about naming opportunities, please contact our Executive Director, Shirnetta Harrell at [email protected].

Dignity Heroes are individuals of the local community who decide to say, “yes” to making a real difference within our mission by hosting their own fundraisers.

Whether you’re having a birthday party, a girls night in or a simple gathering with your favorite people, anyone can get involved.

You set your own goal while we provide an up close and personal experience of how every dollar can make an impact.

For more information about becoming a Dignity Hero, please contact our Executive Director at [email protected].

At NWNG, we’re serious about quality, excellence and serving women and girls with dignity while having some fun..

Because impact isn’t just built in meetings or behind computer screens - it’s cultivated in community partnerships, volunteer shifts and thousands of hygiene kits fulfilled with purpose.

Our new Family Distribution Site is slowly coming together day by day and we’re honestly just grateful to be here.

The mission stays the same. The soundtrack just changes sometimes. 🙃

Rest easy, Nip.

We’re grateful to lean on our community partners during this season of welcoming change. The Great Raleigh Cleanup is no stranger to NWNG. As we continue building systems rooted in dignity, sustainability, and community care, we knew that we needed Preston’s expertise. ♻️

He recently visited our new Family Distribution Site to help assess our recycling methods and sustainability practices — an important step in strengthening our daily operations for both our volunteers, staff and any member of the community who walks through our doors.

At NWNG, dignity is at the forefront of everything we do — including how we steward resources, reduce waste, and create welcoming spaces for families accessing hygiene support. Because caring for people and caring for our community should always go hand in hand.

On a weekly basis, we process hundreds of boxes, plastic, cardboard and other materials. For us, it was imperative to be informed on practices that would support the environment as much as possible. In our new Family Distribution Site, we’re projecting these materials will triple so, sustainable solutions are a priority.

Thank you to The Great Raleigh Cleanup for helping us think bigger about impact, sustainability, and what it means to serve with intention.

Is your corporate business looking for meaningful ways to give back?

Our Mobile Service Learning Program provides a hands-on experience for local businesses and companies to learn more about our cause while meeting corporate responsibility needs.

This program allows employees to engage in educational dialogue while fulfilling our most needed hygiene kits.

For more information about our Mobile Service Learning Program, please email our Executive Director at [email protected].
