❤️ Introducing Our 2026–27 Fundraising Recipients ❤️

This year, Giving Friends Foundation chose to focus our fundraising efforts on something that hits so close to home: supporting children and families right here in our community.

We are honored to announce that our 2026–27 fiscal year fundraising proceeds will benefit two incredible organizations: Me Fine Foundation and Zach's Toy Chest

🏥 Me Fine Foundation provides emotional support and financial assistance to families whose children are receiving care at North Carolina partner hospitals. Their story began in 2004 after the family of Folden Lee IV experienced firsthand the emotional and financial challenges of caring for a child with a life-threatening illness. Today, Me Fine continues that legacy by helping families navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

🧸 Zach’s Toy Chest was born from one family’s experience when their son, Zachary, was diagnosed with childhood cancer as an infant. After seeing firsthand how difficult hospital treatments could be for children, Zach’s family created an organization dedicated to bringing joy and distraction through new toys. Today, Zach’s Toy Chest provides toys to pediatric patients in hospitals throughout North Carolina, helping children focus on being kids—not their illness.

We are incredibly excited about what this year will bring and the impact we can make together. ❤️
