While we’ve been sharing a lot about the Block Party, it’s not the only fun we’ve been having!

In partnership with EatWell Exchange Inc., we were thrilled to host a Children’s Farmers Market at A Safe Place Child Enrichment Center! 🍎🥕🌽

Children were given the opportunity to explore and select a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables while learning about healthy eating in a fun and engaging way. Experiences like these help build healthy habits early and encourage children to try new foods while connecting with their community.

Yesterday, Wake County Smart Start joined parents, a teacher, and a center provider at the Wake County Board of Commissioners Budget Hearing.

During the hearing, our community members shared powerful, personal stories about how programs like NC Pre-K and Wake ThreeSchool are making a real difference in the lives of children and families across Wake County—helping children be ready for school and supporting families every day.

We are grateful to the families and educators who used their voices to advocate for early childhood education and to the Commissioners for their continued partnership and support.
