The Artisans Village in History Park is now open on Saturdays from 10 to 1 p.m. and will continue with their regular Sunday schedule during the Sunday Market from 9 to 1 pm. www.puntagordahistory.com

Paul Roush will be entertaining us Wednesday, April 22 from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Punta Gorda History Park, 501 Shreve Street. Bring your chair, your favorite beverage, and snacks. The Hot Dog Lady will be on site. In lieu of admission, your donations are greatly appreciated to help us maintain our historic buildings.

This concludes our Kick Back Music in the Park Series for this season. Be sure to join us next January through April 2027 for another great season of live music in a unique setting.

A huge thank you to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and the Patterson Foundation for presenting a wonderful opportunity for nonprofits in their area to participate in the 2026 Giving Challenge.

Our organization, the Punta Gorda Historical Society, is extremely grateful for the chance to raise needed funds for several projects with the added benefit of matching funds from the Patterson Foundation.

Many of you know I am passionate about history and preserving our historic buildings in Punta Gorda. Today, as President of the Punta Gorda Historical Society, I am asking everyone to consider donating online to our Punta Gorda Historical Society's Giving Challenge that begins at Noon today and runs until Noon on Thursday, April 16. Kick Back Music Rescheduled from April 8 to April 15, 5-7 p.m.

Due to the rainy weather we have been having, the grounds in the History Park are extremely wet and squishy. High winds and rain are predicted for tomorrow as well, so we made the decision to reschedule to Wednesday, April 15, 5-7 p.m.

The forecast for next week appears to be warm and sunny, just right for our Kick Back Music in the Park. Please join us for a terrific evening of music where "Rock meets Classical," featuring "He & Her," aka Joe & Ruby.

Bring your own chair, favorite beverage and snacks; the Hot Dog Lady will be on site.
