Pleased to have been part of the 2026 Community Foundations for Civic Health Summit over the past few days and join in this important work to build stronger connections where community members are well informed, and all voices are heard.

The 2026 Community Foundations for Civic Health Summit concluded today with important conversations about how we can continue to strengthen civic health in communities across the country.

A highlight of the day was our Keynote featuring Dale Anglin, Executive Director of Press Forward, and Kayce Ataiyero, Chief External Affairs Officer at The Joyce Foundation. Their conversation underscored the role of local journalism as a critical part of civic infrastructure and explored how community foundations can help strengthen the conditions for a healthy civic life.

Participants also dug deeper into the work of measuring, funding, and scaling civic health, considering how foundations can strengthen this work within their own organizations while contributing to the broader civic health field.

Thank you to the community foundation leaders, speakers, and partners who made these two days of shared learning possible. A special shout-out to our co-host, Delaware Community Foundation, and partners, Rhode Island Foundation and National Civic League. We leave Wilmington with new insights, stronger connections, and a continued commitment to advancing civic health in our communities.
