We’re proud to celebrate some recent recognition of CCC’s Hepatitis (Hep) C team and the incredible work they do to expand access to care in our community.

Earlier this month, Fora Health Treatment & Recovery recognized the team as one of its 2026 Partners of the Year, expressing gratitude for their training and partnership in bringing Dry Blood Spot Testing to Fora’s residential intake process for hepatitis C, HIV, and STI screening.

We're also excited to congratulate Hep C Program Manager Lillie Reder, who received the Ann Thomas, MD, Hepatitis Leadership Award from the Oregon Viral Hepatitis Collective and Caring Ambassadors Program in December for outstanding service to the hepatitis community in 2025.

Thank you to our Hep C team—Aubrey Balster, Allyson Chavez, Megan Cooley, Lauren Gerich, Virinia Hovland, Emily Hubbard, Kess Kessler, Linh Le, Bobby Martini, Lisa Nelson, Joselyn Orellana-Wilson, Margot Presley, and Lillie Reder—and our community partners for helping connect more people to prevention, treatment, recovery, and long-term health.

In observance of Juneteenth, on Friday, June 19, all programs and clinic sites will be closed, except for Hooper. Hooper will be open normal hours.

All normal hours will resume Monday, June 22.

Too many Oregonians living with severe mental illness cannot access the care they need until they are already in crisis. And even then, they face a fractured, under-funded “system” ill equipped to adequately treat those who need it most. This has led to a direct increase in those experiencing homelessness in our state.

In a new op-ed, CCC President and CEO Dr. Andy Mendenhall discusses the connection between behavioral health, homelessness, and the need for greater treatment capacity across Oregon.

In this Meet the Mission spotlight, Arsalan Shah, CCC’s Senior Director of Primary Care and Pharmacy, shares how CCC’s integrated health care services help people move from crisis to stability through primary care, pharmacy support, and the Recuperative Care Program.

Together, these programs provide compassionate, whole-person care that supports healing, recovery, and long-term stability for thousands of people each year. By meeting urgent health needs while connecting patients to ongoing support and housing resources, these teams help ensure no one has to recover alone.

As part of the City of Portland, OR's Earth Day event, the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF) hosted an EV tailgate to kick off their new E-Bike Rebate Program, and CCC was invited to showcase a portion of our electrified fleet! Staff from our Climate Action, Clean Start, and Fleet teams had a fantastic time connecting with attendees and sharing more about our climate action work.
