Always a good day when there’s a Putzmeister America shotcrete pump at the next skatepark job site

Evergreen Skateparks continues to advance this project towards opening day

(we’ve included both design concepts G & F, as the project page on Portland Parks & Recreation website is a little confusing on which one is the final concept, as pointed out by george cutright)

This project owes everything to the work that folks invested in Creston Diy

20 years ago today, Pier park celebrated its grand opening: the first completed project of the 19 park plan.

Pier was the first successful project that SPS worked towards: a perfect marriage between Portland Parks & Recreation + Dreamland Skateparks, & even some funding from Nike Skateboarding

In the two decades since that beautiful day, the local skate community has had plenty of time to evaluate this park, as well as similar skateparks.

As an organization, we are committed to pushing the pendulum towards real streetscape, with projects such as The Courts 2.0™️

SPS is thankful for the contributions from the community over the 25 years that our organization has been working towards getting s**t built, & we look forward to the next 25 years of delivering skate terrain

We are fortunate to have the most famous skatepark in the world, right here underneath the Burnside Bridge. The Burnside Skatepark has their own board of directors & 501(c)(3) status, but SPS is supportive of Burnside whenever the opportunity arises.

There’s a lot of overlap between motorcycles & the local skate community - including folks like:

This November, we have the responsibility of ranking City Councilors in Districts 3 & 4. SPS reached out to all candidates asking them about some core issues that affect the skate community.
