Life-enhancing opportunities for youth from low-income families through camp, mentoring & athletic programs

Take a group of low income, at-risk youth and spend a week with them at Oregon's beautiful coast. Teach them the value of good citizenship, help them build relationships with leaders from their neighborhoods, instill in them a sense of self-confidence and let them have fun. Camp Rosenbaum is a youth citizenship and leadership camp for 170+ at-risk, low-income children between the ages of 9 to 11 f

rom Oregon and SW Washington. While at Camp, the kids will experience many "firsts" including fishing, horseback riding, swimming in the Ocean, fieldtrips, camping under the stars, songs around the fire and much more. Often times it's the simple things the kids are most excited about, including three daily nutritious meals with snacks and undivided attention from counselors. Camp Rosenbaum is a 501(c)(3) organization supported largely by volunteers, with over 250,000 volunteer hours and over 180 individuals who donate their time every year. Our volunteers stem from Housing Authority Agencies, Oregon Air National Guard, Portland Police Bureau, various emergency entities, corporate sponsors and individuals. Due to the efforts of these agencies and individuals, the kids that attend Camp Rosenbaum attend for free.
